We purchased these to use in the 2025 season for our above ground swimming pool. We use them during the initial fill and again anytime we topped the pool off throughout the season. We live on a farm that has really great water, but it's very high in iron. We spend lots of time and money, trying to get the iron out out of the water once it gets into the pool, but this way has saved so much time and money by just using these filters when filling. It usually takes one filter to fill the pool and then we usually can get by with the second filter throughout the rest of the season for topping off. Your mileage will vary depend, depending on obviously the size of your pool, the weather and the frequently with which you need to top off. Will buy these again every year. The best part was actually tasting the water out of the hose after putting the filter on. I have this filter hooked up outside for my usage. I decided to get this filter system because the cost of spring water in the stores is getting ridiculous. We use spring water or filtered water for almost all of our water consumption needs. Even our pets get special water, so this filter is a marvelous thing to have. It comes with an attachment for a hose to make it simple. I just hooked it to our water hose and then to our supply hookup for our water. At first, the water has a light blue or gray color, but once flushed for a few minutes, the filter does its magic and provides clear delicious water. We cannot tell the difference between store-bought spring water and this water. Tastes just the same. Huge amount of savings using this system, plus it is portable to hook up to hoses almost anywhere. Ideal for traveling, camping, and such. This filter works great! I needed it to fill up a little pool for my patio and I'm on a well, and our well water had quite a bit of iron in it. The first attempt to fill it (no filter) resulted in an orange coating all over the bottom of the pool. I didn't even want to get in the water. But after using this filter and refilling the pool, the orange iron deposits were totally gone! I was shocked it worked so well. Also attaches to hose easily and does not leak at all. I've been using it to water my tomatoes and other garden plants and they seem happy too! No decrease in water pressure after months of use. Great product! Read more

Its good that it comes as a three pack. We have high iron content well water, needed a filter or pool water delivery and the trucks tend to not want to deliver for just a hot tub. The first one had only a trickle come out and then stopped completely, fail. Figuring I had nothing to loose I screwed the second on and it had full flow. Blew out what I figure was activated charcoal and filled my 400 gallon hot tub with no problems. Its an interesting design and I can only think that some times the assembly of the contents does not "lay right" and blocks the flow? So one star off for consistency. However 4 stars for a perfectly fill of the hot tub and using testing strips we were able to go straight to shocking and maintenance treatment. Read more

This is the one you want. In SWTX, our water is super hard. Another pre-filter I bought claiming 12-18 months of use (based on changing my 300-gal 4x/year, I got maybe 3 changes out of it before it clogged to a trickle. This set of two is great! Haven’t even broken the seal on the second one yet and only need to ad about a tablespoon of chlorine after refilling. All other levels are near perfect out of the gate. Flow is still strong, filled in a couple hours. Won’t waste my money or time on anything else going forward. Read more
