The ice cream maker was well packaged & arrived quickly, good seller. This was so easy to use, I wanted to make a Dairy free Gelato with this and it did not disappoint! I had a good recipe for Blueberry Gelato so I made the base & prepared my berries while the ice cream maker was in the freezer (I froze it for 24 hours) attaching it to my Kitchen Aid mixer took seconds, it was so easy! I let it run on 2 for 15-20 minutes, poured the Gelato into a freezer container, froze it for a few hours, then pulled it out to rest for 20 minutes (a MUST for Gelato) it was delicious! I picked up unsalted pistachio's to make Pistachio Gelato. If you're wondering whether this is the right one to buy I can say it is! I bought this ice cream maker with the hopes of how it compared to the ninja creami. For the first month I had it, it was a fantastic product and worked just as well as a creami and could make ice cream in about 15 minutes. Shortly after a month the liquid started leaking slowly out of it making a huge mess in my freezer. I contacted their IT support, which seemed to be some random guys email, and of course he did not follow up. I didn't know this existed. Fits on my kitchenaid mixer. I have a stand alone ice cream maker. I've had it for a while. This has a larger capacity. Easier to use, just freeze the bowl and put it on the mixer. Very durable and the kis love to watch the magic happen. No leaks and no messes. Functions great and simple. I purchased this “driver and paddle” to fit my Kitchen Aide mixer. It is a 6qt heavy weight mixer with a lift bowl vs. a tilt head unit. I followed the directions and placed the bowl (only) in my freezer for 24hrs. It made wonderful ice cream the first time, and would have the 2nd time IF I had been a good user and followed the instructions! After using this 2x I have found that fitting the “driver” to the mixer head is very tricky. I made a HUGE mistake upon my second attempt at making ice cream. You MUST have the driver and paddle in place and START the mixer BEFORE pouring in the ice cream base! The bowl is so cold after being in the freezer it immediately starts freezing the mixture. I got ahead of myself and thought it would not matter, but THEN I broke the driver by NOT following the the TURN ON THE DRIVER PADDLE BEFORE YOU POUR rule. Ugh! This was pretty simple to use and worked great with out mixer. We just made plain ice cream the first time and it turned out great. Then we started trying new flavors. The kids love that they can do it themselves and everybody can make their own flavors. It seems plenty durable and I'm so glad we have it! Way more fun than buying ice cream at the store. Read more
