I ordered this for my 2016 Silverado LTZ. I was having issues with the temperature barely getting above 150° most of the time it wouldn’t get above 140. And with winter rapidly approaching, I decided to give it a try. Installation was quite simple. This thermostat and housing is a one piece assembly unlike the traditional ones with an aluminum reusable housing, With this particular design you just throw the old housing away and install the whole new assembly. Everything fit perfectly the instructions were straightforward and boy What a difference in heat output. You can barely hold your hand in front of the vent now and she consistently runs at 205*F after if she warms up. Very satisfied.!!! Read more

This was a quick fix on a 2016 Chevy suburban for the cooling fans running when truck is shut off. Don’t forget the coolant sensor! Read more
I purchased this to address an issue with constant running radiator fan on 2014 Silverado with the 4.3L V6. It should be noted that the condition can be caused by either the thermostat or the coolant temperature sensor. Replacing either part involves draining and refilling the coolant, so replacing both at the same time could save time and coolant. Other than the annoyance that GM designed a huge plastic chunk where you cannot simply remove and replace a $20 thermostat, this part was an exact replacement for the original part. There were no fitment or operational issues. It was as simple as remove the old and install the new. Just be mindful to not over torque the screws or you will crack the part. Read more

2017 Yukon, taking forever to reach normal operating temp. These newer 5.3 and 6.2 Ecotechs are meant to run around 210* or more, which is why you want to stick with this OEM t-stat that opens at 207*. People freak out when they see temps approaching 220*, but that is actually normal and the temp where most of the time the fans are programmed to kick in. Mine was taking 10 minutes to reach that, hard on the mpg. New t-stat was just like the original, and a very easy job. Read more
