Very well made and durable. The hooks seem to be solid and secure, the eyelets where the lacing runs through seem to be well applied and secure. The lacing/string is VERY VERY VERY long lol I had to cut quite a bit off to not have a giant ball of string knotted up behind my back. That would have to be my only "con" but even then, it's not a con as that means that it can adjust for much larger waists even though I got the smaller size. I love how the ribs are shaped for over the hips, this prevents massive digging above the hip bones like some cause. There really isn't anything negative I could say about this corset! The price is great for the item. Good quality corsets can be PRICY I have some that run into the $150-$250 range. This one is "cheap" price wise and while it's not the same higher quality like some of my others, it is still actually really great quality and I absolutely reccomend! But for beginners- don't cinch straight to hourglass right off the get go! Take your time in training your body. When you cinch your waist, this requires your organs to shift places to accommodate the now, much smaller room available. And by doing too much too fast, you can cause internal harm to your body. The color is shiny enough to also be used for costuming giving it more versatility. Made with solid and sturdy boning this will act as a proper corset or waist trainer in any case. The corset is made very well, and the gold patent material is also quite durable. The laced up ties at the back are doubled and long enough for you to adjust the fit. The corset is lined with a soft non stretch cotton making it feel comfortable to wear. There is also an inside flap behind the laces so that skin doesnt have to be shown. Since this is a corset it is meant to fit snug and secure so the total measure of comfortability is based on tightly its tied, however you can assure you will get the full look fit and feel. There was no rolling, curling, or folding when I wore it. The corset maintained its shape and stayed closed. I have ordered similar corsets in the past, this is my first time with this color, and I must say it's beautiful, very shinny. The corset itself is well made with what it feels like strong fabric, I like to wear it fairly tight and so far I haven't had any problems with it, as I mention I like this style, this is actually my corset number 4 on this same style, I also have two black ones and two red ones, on different sizes. Great corset, fits great and really changes the shape of your body. I am still breaking mine in, and don't wear it all the time but love it a lot. I've also noticed a couple other positive side effects of wearing a corset: my posture when sitting is much better, and I also eat much less before I feel full. This is my second Corsets Island corset and let me tell you, they do not play around. Their corsets will snatch you all the way in and then some. In addition to this corset giving you an incredible hourglass figure, it is gorgeous in this metallic gold that would be perfect for a photo shoot. The construction on this corset is the real deal. This is a real corset with steel bones, not an imitation one. I've got it in this color because it reminds me of Cyberpunk 2077 game Lizzy Wizzy vibe!
