This stuff is ridiculously sticky if applied correctly. Anyone who claims it doesn’t stick do not clean the surfaces first with isopropyl alcohol. If you do that, good luck getting whatever you stuck to something back off of that surface. I have used this tape for many different applications already, and I still have a lot left. It sleeps in my “junk” drawer where it lies in wait to stick something to something else lol. It’s about an 1/8 of an inch thickness, and is easy to use. Just cut the amount desired, prepare the surfaces (both the object, and whatever you plan to stick it to), apply the tape, peel off the plastic, and BOOM! I used it to hang a picture on the wall, which in hindsight I regret. I say that because I changed my mind and when I went to pull it off of the wall, it took the paint with it. Soooo, I had to get out the drywall repair kit 🙄 and it was a whole thing. So make sure whatever you want to stick is where you really want it. I think it’s a great value since you get so much, and you can use it for a multitude of things; holding down rugs, hanging things to walls inside, or out, etc. it’s a great thing to have, just in case. Oh, and it will stick to just about anything, and it will stay stuck there basically forever. Enjoy! Read more

I recently used the Gorilla Heavy Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape to hang some decorations in my living room, and it worked perfectly! The adhesive is incredibly strong, holding up heavier items without any issues. I appreciate that it's weatherproof, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The black color blends seamlessly with darker surfaces, providing a clean look. Just be cautious during application—the bond is permanent, so ensure your placement is accurate. Overall, a fantastic product that delivers on its promises! Read more

I absolutely hate unexpected people at my door. I don't want you preaching to me, talking politics, trying to sell me anything, or generally just annoying me. For that reason, I bought a not so nice little flexible no soliciting sign to put on my front door, in hopes of intimidating people off my property. 🤣 The problem is....command strips nor velcro would keep it on my door. It drooped, rolled downward and was simply sad and pathetic....it intimidated no one. I think some people actually looked at it, laughed, and proceeded to knock or ring the doorbell even though it clearly said not to. Enter this amazing mounting tape. I put 3 long strips on the back, put my sign back on the door for the 4th time and held my breath in desperate hope that this would be the magic solution. I am so happy to report that I finally have found peace. I no longer have to hear the 7 cats and 2 dogs howling, screeching, and generally losing their minds every time these unwanted guests start pounding on my door. Miraculously, most people actually stop and read the sign now and simply turn around and leave. I'm a changed woman. I'm no longer on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I no longer scream profanity at random strangers through my front door. Thank your gorilla tape! I will forever be in your debt as you have truly restored my sanity! Read more

Bought this tape as possible alternative to using screws for mounting Blink cameras. Didn’t really expect the tape to hold well much less for a long time, but it is exceptional! The tape has not failed on any surface. Only downside is removing the plastic film from the tape better use. This is mind numbing difficult unless you have tiny fingers. Read more

I picked up the Gorilla Heavy Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape in black for a few home fixes, and it’s lived up to its name. The adhesive is seriously strong—perfect for mounting shelves, hooks, signs, and even small tools. It bonds quickly and holds tight, especially on smooth surfaces like metal, glass, and plastic. The black color blends well with darker surfaces, making it ideal for discreet mounting where clear tape might stand out. Just be sure to press firmly and give it time to set—once it’s on, it’s not coming off easily. It’s weather-resistant too, so I’ve used it outdoors without any peeling or slipping. If you’re looking for a no-drill solution that can handle weight and wear, this tape delivers. It’s one of those tools that quietly earns its place in your toolbox. Read more

I got some of this gorilla tape for another project but it is turning out to be a great idea to have this handy for things like nightlights that your husband pulls off the wall in the middle of the night because he is trying to change the batteries. Oops, no you pull the nightlight up not off the wall to do so! Anyways after he did that he tried to push the nightlight back onto the wall and of course it had taken the paint off with it and it was not going to stick again with the original tape. So cut about an inch of this tape and was able to mount the nightlight back on the wall and it hasn't fallen off since. I did end up also changing the batteries the right way! lol I'm very happy with this tape and there is a lot to use up so I'll keep it handy! ~The Rebecca Review 11/9/2025 - P.S. I keep finding new uses for this. A little piece put on the back of a wall sign that hangs by string makes the sign sit flush against the wall. Perfect! How did I live without this tape? Read more
