I’m really happy with this Gracyoga maxi skirt! It’s become one of those pieces I reach for constantly because it’s just so easy and comfortable. First, I love that it comes with a built-in slip. No need to hunt for a separate underskirt or worry about it being see-through in bright sunlight — total peace of mind. The fabric itself is opaque, soft, and has a nice drape that looks breezy and coastal in photos (and in real life too). The pockets are a huge win. They’re deep enough to actually hold my phone and keys without creating weird bulges or ruining the flowy shape. So convenient for running errands or walking around on vacation. I’m 5’5″ and was a little surprised by the length — it actually reaches a little past my ankles, which is longer than it looked in the listing photos. That said, I really like the extra length. It feels elegant and gives great coverage without dragging on the ground. One thing to note: with the built-in slip, the skirt has a bit more weight and body than I expected from the airy appearance in the pictures. It doesn’t feel stiff, but with the slip it’s definitely not ultra-lightweight. I actually prefer this — it hangs beautifully, moves nicely when I walk, and doesn’t feel flimsy. The fabric is excellent about wrinkles. I can just pull it out and put it on and look put-together. Sizing: I usually go back and forth between small and medium depending on the brand. I ordered a medium here and I’m very glad I did. It fits comfortably through the hips and the high-waist elastic + drawstring gives me the option to cinch it tighter if I lose more weight. Very forgiving and adjustable. And it has real pockets that will actually hold a phone or keys! Though I wouldn't call this an A line skirt. This is a gathered skirt - a new, assymetrical take on a traditional broom skirt. Usually wearing a women's XXL or a plus 1XL, I found this skirt to have plenty of fullness for someone with a full seat. However, this skirt is very long even for someone who is just below the low end of "average" height - it will require hemming of several inches so as not to drag on the ground, even at 5'3". This will not be a summer skirt as the fabric is not light and airy as you would want with a summer garment, but will make a great spring or fall item, being a warmer fabric.
