I had a persistent biofilm that was clogging up my bathroom sink. Several rounds of baking soda and vinegar + plunger got rid of some of it, but the drain was still sluggish. I used half the Green Gobbler bottle, per the instructions for lighter clogs since the vinegar and baking soda had already taken care of some of it. I left it in over night, and in the morning, the drain ran clean. I used the remaining bottle and a half in my two-pack to do maintenance clog prevention on my shower and three other sink drains. TLDR - solved a 6 month issue overnight. Our ancient apartment has a shower that doesn’t drain and usually ensures we are in shin deep water by the end of the shower. It also meant anything like hair from shaving never made it down the drain and formed a nasty ring around our tub unless I waited for the water to drain and then washed the tub before it dried. Pretty stupid esp for Boston rent prices. The clog was beyond the reach of the drain snake I bought but bits were coming up ONLY when I went down the overflow - old tubs have a grate under the drain. I poured a third of the bottle into the overflow and the rest into the drain, let it sit about 12 hours, flushed with a bowl of hot water, and wow. Tested the shower and ZERO water accumulating. THE DRAIN ACTUALLY DRAINS! So yeah, my tip is to try the overflow if your tub is 9000 years old like mine. Read more
My bathroom tub was slow to drain for a long time. I would try Drano commercial line and it seemed to clear the drain for a week and then back to slow draining. I even tried BioClean but still not draining well. So I found this product. And what a game changer! I put 1 bottle in the drain and waited for 1 hour and it cleared the drain a lot faster than the other products I used. I've had Green Gobbler work in the past so that's why I give it a three. I don't know why recently it no longer works in my shower. I hate to say that I'm going to have to resort to Draino for super intense clogs. Maybe it will work if your issue is minor. Read more
