When these first arrived I really hadn't imagined what 500 would look like... I was astounded and thought these better be good because I'll certainly have a lot of them. They are that good! Since they are organic cotton, I did try one on my ears at first (how could I resist?), but at 6" long it was a little hard to manipulate. No matter, I planned to use them for cleaning objects around the house anyway. Today I was using my Dirt Devil handheld vacuum and when cleaning it out I dumped the collected dirt but I just cannot reach far enough inside the front of the tapered housing where some gets stuck. Over the years, crud has been building up in this area and it bothers the heck out of me; so, I wondered if these cotton swaps would reach - they do. So I dipped one in alcohol, reached in easily, and cleaned out some serious crud. Amazingly, the pointed tip stayed pointed and it didn't fuzz out. The bamboo was very stiff and sturdy and held up while I was pushing the swap into a tight, awkward area. I feel that the price point is more than fair for 500 swabs of this quality. The bamboo is sturdy and the cotton somehow stays pointed, even when wet. Now I'm thinking of numerous places where I can use these. They are definitely keepers and should last a long time. These long multipurpose swabs are completely plastic-free, as well as the packaging. They come in a really large heavy duty matchbox style box. The organic cotton tips are soft but stay pointy even when saturated, and the eco-friendly bamboo handles are sturdy yet flexible to bend into tight spots without snapping. So far I have been using these for cleaning tight, hard to reach spots and they've held up nicely through lots of use. They’ve proven to be very useful in cleaning the insides of my furball’s water bottle, which was starting to show signs of mildew/ mold. It was very difficult to see, let alone clean. The swab was able to fit inside the water bottle’s small neck, as well as inside the tiny metal drinking tube with the ball inside. Would be also great for many other purposes as well like cleaning up after painting detail work, applying paint without the need for a paint brush, etc. Definitely worth the price of just 3¢ each swab. That product is a large box of sharp ended cotton swabs. They provide good value for money if you have some task that uses them like applying touch up paint, grease, or makeup in small detailed areas. They are rather painful if used to clean ears, so make sure not to buy for that purpose. These very-sturdy cotton buds are GREAT for cleaning things. If you are expecting a traditional ear-bud style swab, this is not what you're going to find. These are much longer, a full six+ inches, with a very strong wooden (bamboo) stick. The cotton ends have been shaped into markedly pointy shapes, not really squishy, which makes them perfect to use on different kinds of equipment for removing crud or just general cleaning. These are NOT well-suited for use on the body, even though they're organic and well-made. The points on the cotton are just too pointy for safety, making these much better suited for use on things that are not alive. I found these to be perfect to clean out the grooves in my windowsills, for example, and to remove dust from the details in a wood carving. I ordered and received the Isshah Store's "Bamboo Cotton Swabs, Double-Ended 6'' Pointed Tip, Biodegradable Organic Cotton Buds 500 Count". The swabs come in a cardboard box that doubles as a storage container. To open it make sure to cut all the tape along the short ends of the box. Then you will be able to push one of the short ends and the tray holding the swabs will slide out. I love that these swabs are made from bamboo, a renewable resource, and organic cotton. They are approximately 6-1/8 inch long. It is easy to hold and use both sides of these swabs without my hands touching the cotton since they are so long! They are great quality. The sticks are sturdy. The cotton holds up to being wet. I will use these for bleaching small stains in clothing, for cleaning electronic parts, for touch-up painting and for small spot removal of paint or nail polish. Read more
