I never review anything as being awesome (it's usually ok, very good or "how fast can I return this thing") but this iron is freakin' AWESOME! At my age I have purchased many a hair styling product and accoutrement-spent lots on flat irons alone. This is the least I've paid and the best quality to my surprise. My hair is always dry, brittle, frizzy and out of control. Flat irons minimally manage my hair. BUT this iron made my hair straight, sleek, non-frizzy and only had to do 1 pass vs 2-3 and keep iron on longer than I should. It glides through with no snagging/dragging and nicely straightens. When I finished I literally went whaaaat? Titanium plates make the biggest difference. Only took me half the usual wrestling time and as straight as when go to salon! This straightener works well. It's a bonus that it comes with a heat-proof sleeve for storage and a glove. The one thing that I think is a big problem and potential safety issue, is the instructions that come with it. Many sentences are incomplete or make no sense at all. They appear to have been written in another language (it's manufactured in China) and then translated maybe using AI or by someone who doesn't speak English. Unfortunately, this did not work well!! This worked better than my $80 straightener. The mat is great, the straightener is stylish, sleek and most importantly does a great job. My hair is naturally curly and the first time I straightened my hair, it took 1 pass. It left my hair shiny. It's been humid here lately and my hair stayed straight all day! A few flaws with this straightener. First one being that the hair does glide through the plates. You can hear and feel your hair going through it. 2nd issue is that when you clamp down, the plates closest to the buttons do not touch leaving uneven hair. Read more
