First of all, BIG PROPS to the commenter who explained how the dispenser mechanism works. Be very careful opening the bottle! There's a way to get only a little powder out without it spilling everywhere (and honestly it should be more clear, either on the box or the bottle itself--dinging one star for that). That having been said, this is a really great texturizing powder! I've always been kind of meh on dry shampoos--my hair is super greasy after one day and none seemed to really absorb the grease so much as just become another layer of crap on top to weigh my hair down. This powder adds texture and volume without adding a lot of weight, which is perfect for my thin hair. It's a bit of a learning curve to figure out the right amount to add--start with less than you think you need and add more if necessary. The smell is strong initially, but it does fade. I also appreciate that the price point is such that it's not out of reach for those of us who only use hair powders occasionally--for me, it's worth it, but if you use this product multiple times a week it might end up being non-economical. The good: It does texturize and give volume to my fine thin hair. It works well as a volumizing dry shampoo as it absorbs oil in my hair between shampoos so I can shampoo less often. It has a strong perfumy scent that makes my hair smell fresh even when it’s overdue for a shampoo. Some people might find the scent way too strong though. It lasts in the hair. The bad: When I first opened it, this weird looking stick applicator was attached to the cap, so when I pulled it out, it made a mess, spilling powder all over the place. I thought it was some novel applicator, but then saw a review on this product that showed a pump. I had to soak the cap in soapy water to be able to pull the pump top out of it! I do like the pump applicator, but I will not be putting that too-tight cap back on it! This powder creates so much static that I must moisten my comb to control the fly-aways! It is white and does slightly lighten my ashy hair. It might not look good on dark hair. It is way overpriced; twice that of other’s I have in the same size. Read more

This hair texture and volumizing powder is lightweight and easy to use, making it a great styling option for adding instant lift and definition. It gives the hair a natural matte finish without looking dull or dry, and it doesn’t weigh the hair down. A small amount goes a long way, so you don’t need much to see results. The powder adds noticeable volume at the roots and helps create texture that lasts throughout the day. It provides a flexible hold that keeps styles in place while still allowing the hair to move naturally. I like that it works well on different hair types and can be used for both subtle volume or more styled, tousled looks. It applies easily, blends in well, and doesn’t leave a visible residue when used properly. The formula feels light in the hair and remains comfortable all day. It’s a convenient styling product for quick touch-ups or everyday use, and it does a great job of boosting volume and texture without feeling heavy. Read more

Do NOT attempt to twist the cap when trying to open it!! All the powder will just fly off.. everywhere! This is how the bottle unscrews and opens showing you the content.. but you do not want to see the content.. it’s going to get in your face and nose .. powder cloud in the air and product all over the sink or wherever you were… Pull the cap straight upwards and do not twist! It’s like hairsalon smell with baby powder.. thick powder comes out when you press the pump .. YES IT DOES WORK! It will definitely give you volume… but it leaves your hair not just matte like advertised but also really nappy.. as if you’re touching a bad wig… corn starch in fact is even stronger than baby powder. The result is worth only if you need quick and fast volume and do not really have time to style properly and if you are planning on washing your hair immediately right after your event or whatever occasion… Not something I would use every day. At the time of purchase this was 17USD, but even now at 15 it’s not something I would necessarily recommend.. it’s more the powder that goes in your nose and lungs than the one that ends on your hair. As said, it does work and can give some really good volume.. but the way the hair feels at the touch I truly don’t like… Read more

This stuff is terrible!! It has an overly powerful masculine scent and when I opened it, powder went everywhere!! Even when I adjusted the cap so that it was definitely closed, powder poured out the sides. I threw it right in the trash. Read more

This texture spray has a pump nozzle that squirts out a dry powder to instantly create volume. The powder is white and a little bit goes a long way. If you have darker hair this might not be the product for you, as on my light brown hair with blonde highlights it created a visible white cast on my hair. It did give a lot of volume to my roots. It’s best used under a layer of hair so you can hide the white cast. It does leave a sticky residue on your hair. Considering you need so little product this bottle will last a very long time making it a great value. Read more

The LYARI Hair Texture & Volumizing Powder does provide lift, texture and volume. It has a matte finish. I found it works better on smaller sections of the hair. If you have longer and/ or thicker hair, face framing pieces and crown hair pieces are better to focus on. I have darker hair and quickly realized only a small amount is best to be used before working into the hair because the powder will be easily visible if too much is used. The product lasts/ holds for quite a while and is lightweight, but I found it doesn't leave the most desirable texture on your hair. It felt like I had less control of styling my hair because of the texture of the product. The bottle design made the product rather hard to control and messy. For the size of the bottle it is priced a little high. The smell isn't my favorite, it reminds me of baby powder. Read more
