It works well both on the stand and independently, making it useful for different preparations. It has good power for mixing light doughs and whipping creams, and switching speeds is simple. The bowl rotates evenly, which helps achieve more consistent mixes with little effort. For home use, it works perfectly and makes cooking much easier. Read more

For the price this is a great mixer. I like that you can detach the mixer from the stand. Only complaint is that the beaters when on the stand sits too high off the bottom of the bowl. Thus, remove the mixer from the stand to mix thoroughly. However, adding the ingredients when the mixer is on the stand is convenient. Mixer works well in low settings! I bake only during the holiday seasons so price is right for the limited use! Didn’t want to spend $300 for an appliance that gets put away during the off-season. Read more

I am in my late 70’s and have baked my whole life. Let me just say that this is the cheapest and the most awful mixer I have ever used. The beaters don’t touch the bottom of the bowl so you have to lift the bowl and swirl it to incorporate the ingredients. The lever to adjust the placement of the beaters within the bowl moves with the vibration of the machine. The bowl if made of the cheapest material and feels “tinny”. It is not worth the price I paid but unfortunately Sunbeam is no longer manufactured and this was my only option. I have one of the last Sunbeams made and I hope it never breaks down. If so I would definitely consider purchasing a “vintage”Sunbeam. This was made in China. Lord help us. Read more

What can I say? You get what you pay for. And I didn't want to pay $300+ for a Kitchen-Aid mixer. I'm not knocking the KA brand; it's probably worth every penny, but I'm more of a casual cook/baker and I don't need a mixer that I can hand down to my future great-grandchild. It does seem to be rather cheaply made, so if you fancy yourself to be the next great food influencer, this is probably not going to be a good fit for you. But for me, so far at least, it's performed satisfactorily. The first time I used it, I found out that you need to add the wet ingredients first before adding the dry ingredients or else you're going to have a layer of unmixed powder on the bottom of the bowl. But other than that growing pain, I've had pretty good luck with it. Read more
