This is my third heated hoodie, so I'm becoming something of an expert on these. The material this one is made from is really very nice, not only the exterior which is soft and comfortable, but the interior which is lined with a velour-like material that is very nice, especially inside the hood. I got the Large, which fit well, though if you have any bulk to you at all, opt for the Extra Large as this one is a little tight across the chest. The hood is nice and spacious, though the neck area does leave a bit uncovered, which may or may not be an issue depending on if you wear a scarf. The heat output is where this one falls a little short for me. As is typical with these items, it comes with a rechargeable power brick, which to their credit is beefy at 20k mAh, which is nice and means that it will last a long time between charges. However that size comes with a downside, which is heft. It sits in an internal pocket on your left side and you'll know it's there. It can be charged via USB A or C so that is also nice. The coils feel a little thinner than they do on the other hoodies I have and I think that's the reason for the weaker heat output. There are three settings on this (White, Blue, and Red in order of intensity) and I found the Red setting on this one (the highest) to be roughly equivalent to the Blue setting on the other hoodies I have. Where on my other hoodies, I could switch to Red if I really needed the additional warmth, on this one, I have nowhere else to go. The heat zones are a little mixed as well. The core coils just above the hand pockets work well and are nice. The ones across the shoulders and upper back are also nice and hold their warmth. But the ones on the arms are very weak and I wasn't really sensing much heat from them at all. If you wear this out in a moderate chill, it will absolutely help to keep you warm, but anything colder than that, and it may fall a little short. As just a hoodie, discounting the heating altogether, it's actually very nice and super comfortable, so it can be worn year round, and not just when you need the heating. Read more

I live in MN and have a few heated vests, socks, and gloves. I find it really helps in our climate to be more comfortable if you have to be outside. This is the first heated hoodie that I've got, so I was eager to try it out when it arrived. I'm 6'4" and have fairly long arms, so I was concerned that the sleeves wouldn't be long enough (I ordered the XL size). I was very happy to find that it fits great and the sleeves are perfect on me. It heats up quickly and I love the fuzzy inner material. I was also very happy to find that they included a battery - and a nice large one at that! The last couple heated vests I've gotten haven't included the battery. I did find that the battery pocket on this hoodie was in a different location and instead of being inside the front pocket near the zipper, it's located farther around and positioned towards the back of your left hip. It seemed strange to me at first, but I find that it works better there, as it doesn't tend to flop around as much as it would if it was more towards the zipper. The one and only real negative I found is with the connection for the battery. Why in the world they chose to have a custom pin type connector to the battery is beyond me. I hate things that have custom connectors for standard USB devices. With this design it keeps me from being able to use any of the external battery packs that I have with standard USB connectors. Yes, the included battery does have a USB connector in addition to the small pin connector for the hoodie, so they could have easily just used that with a standard USB cable. That's a real miss in my book. But overall I'm very happy with how this hoodie feels and how warm it is.. and it lasts a good long time on a charge of the battery. Read more
