For well over a a decade, I use a "gig easy" set up. I recently updated my old gen 3 to a generation 10 iPad. Hercules makes great quality stuff and this little gadget right here packs away nice and compact in the case. In the way it's configured. THE JAWS HOLD THE NOTE PAD BUT WITH A SAMSUNG NOTE PAD AND COVER, THE CUTOUTS ON THE JAWS AREN'T WIDE ENOUGH TO ALLOW THE FRAME AND COVER TO SIT IN. TWO JAWS HOLD THE FRAME THE OTHER TWO HOLD THE COVER. HOWEVER, THE SPRING CLAMPS HOLD THE PAD VERY SECURELY. THE NOTE PAD WITHOUT THE COVER FITS. DEPENDING ON THE MOUNT, THE SPRING TENSION IS SO STRONG THAT IT CAN BE A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO PLACE THE SAMSUNG NOTEPAD. OVERALL. I FEEL CONFIDENT THAT IT WILL NOT DROP THE SAMSUNG NOTEPAD AND I'VE SEEN IT HOLD THE "I" PAD FIRMLY AS WELL. Read more

Sturdy product. I am a jobbing musician, and I use it every weekend. I simply attach it to a microphone pole and that's it. The locking joints do not slip, and I am able to loosen it without fear of weakening its grip for the next use. This rack is a great iPad holder. I have the 12.9 inch iPad Pro and it fits in the holder even when I have the cover on my iPad. The tablet holder is very well made 90% all metal and locks into place on my microphone stand very securely. I will say that you need to make sure that you know the dimensions of your tablet before you order. There are other models from this manufacturer that are only good up to a certain size. The 307B is designed for the larger tablets. I will probably be buying a couple of more of these. Read more
