works well, inexpensive
I got this 50W workshop light to help bright up part of my work area. In the box, there was the light itself, a hook that needs attaching, and very brief instruction insert that has the polarity of the dimmer wires noted. The light feels nice and solid. It's brighter than I expected for 50W, as well. the color temperature is just a bit colder than I find myself liking for the space, and the CRI of >80 is a little low compared to what I normally go for. However, these are non-issues at this low price point. It's a good bargain for a nice light. Installation is literally just a matter of installing an eyehook wherever you can find a good anchor spot such as a joist and finding a switched outlet. In my space there were some reach on the ceiling. Like others of its kind, this light needs ground, so if anyone is thinking of adapting a regular light socket to run power, you'll need another solution. I am not running a dimmer on this yet, but I am thinking of I might want to eventually. The leads for the low voltage wires are ready to be used. For now, I have them neatly tied away.
