Love this air conditioner! This is a powerhouse, we have been using it in our enclosed patio that is not insulated, so it gets very hot in there when the sun is out. I set the temp on it and it comes on when the temp goes above my setting and keeps the patio cool, and if I forget to set it and have to turn it on when it's already hot in there, it works awesome in conjunction with the ceiling fan helping to circulate the air. Haven't been able to try the other settings like the dehumidifier yet but will be using it in the winter. We have 36 inch sliding windows in the patio where the exhaust hose goes and can keep the screen in the window while the exhaust hose assembly is in the window! I had to trim a few inches off of the sliding part of the exhaust assembly to fit it in the window and the screw that holds the slider at the correct fitment holds it perfectly. The unit also has a back room, a bathroom, and a laundry facility. During my first summer here, it was extremely hot. Even though I have central air conditioning, it doesn’t reach the attic. This summer, I decided to buy an air conditioner, and I ended up purchasing a second unit as well. The installation of both units was easy, and they cooled the rooms down quite quickly. While the noise from the blowers can be heard when they’re running—similar to most air conditioners—the size isn’t too cumbersome, and the top is flat enough to serve as a plant holder. These air conditioners are great for managing humidity, as they also function as dehumidifiers (my dryer vents into the rooms) and fans. They’ve been working very well for me, and I use them in combination with my ceiling fans. Each unit has a timer that allows me to set it to turn on for eight, nine, ten hours, or more before I come home, or to shut off at a specific time. There is also a sleep mode that turns off the unit after a certain period, which is convenient. Additionally, each air conditioner has a thermostat. When the set temperature is reached, the unit automatically shuts off and turns back on when the temperature rises again. I’ve had this unit for a couple of years now, and it’s easily been one of the most versatile and useful things I own. I originally bought it for my bedroom because my dad never uses central AC and I couldn’t handle 90+ degree nights. It cooled my room down quickly and made it actually livable during the summer. Since then, it’s been through multiple apartments with me and has never let me down. I’ve even taken it camping—it’s not exactly small, but it’s mobile enough to move around and set up wherever I need it. The cooling power is excellent for the size, and it really makes a difference in any room I’ve used it in. The features like the remote, sleep mode, and timer are nice extras, but what I value most is how reliable and consistent it’s been. This product is extremely poorly made. The, very few parts you need to put the air conditioner together, are snap together or slide into eachother. That being said, the hosing comes apart if u even slightly move the sir conditioner. I've spent about 4 hrs now (aprox) trying to duct tape pieces and parts. Not 1 screw came with this in order to things steady in where the parts attach. I honestly wish I returned it asap but at this point, I'm to far invested in it. Bought it not thinking it would work good but actually works better than the $400 one I bought from home Depot.it blows cold and works great. Noticed a difference in one hour in my garage which is a 6 car garage and with it being 90 degrees out I couldn't get it cooler then 82 degrees with the home Depot one so now with both of them it's staying around 74 degrees when it's 90 plus out and I can get work done on my cars now. I have a room thats195 square feet and this worked really well, I will admit it takes a while to cool the room but once it’s cool it stays that way until I turn it off. Mind you outside weather is a little over 100 degrees so it’s some thing I’ve been using everyday after work for the past 2 weeks and it hasn’t let me down yet. Read more
