First, like other reviewers said, this is not quite as a-line as the pics make it seem. BUT it’s cute anyway. The skirt part isn’t tight by any means. This dress is SUPER flattering. Especially for us pear shapes. I have narrow shoulders and wide hips and this was perfect. The horizontal ribbon sits right at my natural waist which allows the skirt part to flow away from the lower body- this is very flattering. I bought the black 3/4 sleeve dress and the sleeves are a little loose but nothing major at all. If you have somewhat thicker arms- go for it. I’m 5’5” and this hit right at the top of my kneecap. The material is a thick somewhat stretchy material. Not thin or weird or see through. The dress I bought (solid black) has ribbon detail around the end of the sleeves, two strips down the chest vertically, and one across the waist. It doesn’t go around the back but I think it looks fine. This ribbon is just solid black ribbed with white stitching along the edges. It’s actually pretty cute and just adds interest to the dress. Needed a black dress for a funeral. This fit the bill beautifully. Very elegant and respectful. I am 5’6” and 120lbs with a small bust. The size small fit like it was tailor made. The fabric is a medium weight, with a good feel, and lays nicely. I wore it right out of the package with no pressing or ironing required. This dress and a pair of heals and hose and you are set. I don’t normally buy a lot of clothing on Amazon; especially dresses, but I needed a nice dress for a Funeral and didn’t want to go out and shop. Amazon had me listed as a Med-Large for this dress, so I went with the large to be safe -I’m 5’4, 160. Well, glad I went with the large considering I’ve got a bigger chest. It was a bit tight, and difficult to zip; not sure if it was a bad zipper or just slightly too small; but it wasn’t overly uncomfortable. The material was very soft and the dress was well constructed. I think a better quality zipper is needed -even unzipping it when it wasn’t on me was a bit of a struggle and there is no clasp at the top of the zipper like in most women’s dresses. It did slightly unzip from the top, so the clasp would of been nice, but it is what it is. However, the amount of compliments I got on this dress, holy cow; it was nonstop. I really wanted to like this dress. I ordered a 12 and was very happy with the fit. It accented my boobs a but, but it's hard not to and my belly didn't look terrible in it. I really liked how comfortable it was and wore it to an outdoor nighttime party. That went fine, but then I wore it in the daylight and got a less than happy surprise. It's see through! My bra and underpants were on full display and I had to go home to change. It was very embarrassing. Read more

I ordered an XL and XXL based upon my history with these dresses from all these different companies in China. For comparison, I am a Petite medium top from Talbots, can wear a Petite 12 or 14 in their dresses, and I wear, for the most part, a Petite 14 size pants in most manufacturers....with some of them I can get away with a size Petite 12. In Ann Taylor curvy, I can wear a size 10...who knew lol. I wear a 38C bra and have no back fat to speak of. I work out at the gym and play a lot of tennis, so my upper body is toned and I keep working on it. The XL in this dress was a little tight through the top in all areas, and the XXL fit great. I have to have it shortened (no big deal). There is a problem with the back area where the zipper is - it bunches up a bit and I can't figure out way. I will take the dress to my seamstress to see if she can figure out the problem. All in all, I think it's a good quality dress for the price and it will go well with a pair of black and white heels that I have. I hope my size comparison helps...Don't get upset with the sizing here or with any of these companies from China. Some of these dresses are well made and look really nice - who cares what size you eventually get - if it looks great on you and you feel great in it, go for it! Read more

Didn’t know what to expect quality and fit wise, but this dress exceeded my expectation's. The fabric and quality is that of a far more expensive dress. So happy! I ordered based on what Amazon said was my recommended size and it fit perfectly. It is fitted up top so if you have a larger chest, be aware of that. Dress came today. I was really hoping this dress would work but it’s way too small. I am a standard size 12. I can even fit a 10 depending on the cut and/or material. I got this in a size 12 aka XXL according to the size chart in the picture section on the page. The fact that they called XXL a size 12 should have been a red flag. Firstly, when the dress arrived, it was unzipped and the tag was warped, so it was clearly a return but luckily it didn’t look worn. But that’s neither here nor there because the dress was way too small. It was fine in the waist area but too snug in the hip area which made the knee length rise to the thigh area. And the zipper part?…forget about it. It was so tight up top, I didn’t even try to zip it up for fear I would tear it. Even without zipping it, it was way too tight across the bust and arm area. I immediately took it off, zipped it up, put it back in its packaging because tomorrow I will be returning it. Buyer beware, this is way smaller than advertised. Read more

I really wanted this dress to be 5 stars (it had been on my wish list for so long) but the thinness (no lining)of the fabric and the fact that the waist black ribbing doesn’t go all around the back makes it a 4 star. It really is a pretty A-line dress. It reminds of a vintage Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis dress, especially if you accessorize with a pill box hat. I normally wear between a 6 and an 8 being chesty the 8 is a good fit. I am 5’5 and 137 lbs. The size chart is accurate. Read more
