Looks great sitting in my attic, still in the box
Update: I did install it (easy to do) and it seemed to work great. The bulb is still working but our HVAC guy that comes every six months says the bulb only puts out UV light for a year or so. I have yet to change the bulb. I got this in November 2014 (now FEB) b/c it connects into the 24 volt system at my unit. I knew I would never run 110 over to the AC to power this thing. Let's see how long it takes me to install it. So why did I write a review? So I could be first? Well, yes, and one other reason: Our HVAC tech came out for our 6 month inspection and admired the Purifier while checking our unit. He said he could install it but when I told him I would do it he offered to pieces of advice I think are worth passing on: 1) if your drip pan under the coil is plastic, which mine is, you must cover it with come kind of foil to protect it from the UV light. He said aluminum foil from the kitchen and that metal AC ducting tape would be fine. He said the Purifier will break down the plastic faster than the sun would 2) same thing if you have a foam board box where your duct work comes together. I hadn't seen that anywhere so if someone reads this and benefits, my good deed will be done for the day! :o) Read more
