Why did you pick this product vs others?: We’ve started making our own Shokupan every weekend, and this bread knife has made slicing it so easy. Once the bread is fully cooled, it cuts clean, even slices—just like store-bought! The knife feels durable and well-made, and it even comes with a nice protective cover and box, which we use to store it and keep it sharp. Fantastic knife. Cuts through bread like it's melted butter. But be careful not to get yourself. Husband barely glanced his thumb and had to use two band aids for over a day. It's sharp! Very happy with purchase! Read more

This knife is beautiful. My husband enjoys baking fresh loaves of bread so I wanted to treat him to a nice knife. It cuts very easily and smoothly. No more squished bread from having to press hard!
