TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY. I am chef in a very busy kitchen and I have a knife in my hand at least 6 hours a day non-stop.... I was needing to replace my work horse knife but really not ready to spend $200 for a new one. I looked on Amazon and read the reviews on this knife and it was at a discounted price so I said okay I'll give it a try... I buy really expensive knives and I can tell you that I don't think any of them are better than this one. This thing comes sharp I actually cut myself twice the first day using it (this is actually a good omen with a new knife). This knife is extremely comfortable in your hand, which was what I was looking for, and it slices through vegetables, meat like a razor blade. The quality feels amazing, it is super balanced not heavy but not light either. I am sold on this and will buy other knives from this brand should it stay sharp and hold up. I will update later to let you know how that goes. BUY IT! I LOVE IT! Read more

I am a knife nut. This piece is very well made. The handle fits in my small to medium hand as if it were born there. Balance? Oh yes! This knife has great balance. Its blade is chef-sharp and solid. I have successfully sliced raw beef, turkey breast, chicken, and pork for jerky; as well as fine veggie prep for sushi. What a pleasure to work with. Cleaning is easy, but please, do show it the respect it deserves by never putting it in a dishwasher. In fact, no bladed kitchen tool should ever go in the dishwasher, including a vegetable peeler. I carefully wash the knife in soapy water and dry it with a soft absorbent cloth. It is then stored with on my knife magnet alongside of its "siblings" where it will stand at attention until summoned for the next culinary assignment. I purchased this knife at a slight discount, yet after working with it multiple times, I would not bat an eye over its regular price. Great value for the money! Read more

The quality of this knife for the price is truly incredible. I've used professional-grade chef's knives from well-known brands like Calphalon, and this one holds its own. The craftsmanship is so close to these prestigious brands that you'd be hard-pressed to spot the difference. My first impression is that this knife is an absolute steal, though I'm curious to see how it holds up over the long term. It has a satisfying weight of over 200g, providing excellent balance and control. The beautiful blade is incredibly sharp, making kitchen tasks—like slicing through meat—feel effortless. The handle is remarkably comfortable and feels sturdy. For its performance, feel, and aesthetics, this knife is a perfect 10/10. Don't wait to buy one—it's worth far more than its current price and could easily sell for $35.99 and still be considered an amazing value. Read more

2025/7/29: (about a week of usage) Pretty good so far, surprisingly 😲 Kawaii: n/a Functionality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sharpness (ootb): ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ Keeping sharp: n/a Price: ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Size: ⭐⭐⭐½ Build quality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Packaging: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pros: - It arrived sharp enough to pass the paper slicing test - Handle is ergonomic-ish. Nice and smooth. No rough edges - Construction good with no cracks or glue showing etc Cons: - Handle is chunky. I have big hands and it feels a bit big. - A little heavy Arrived quickly. The build quality was nicer than expected. Box is nice enough to keep and use if you don't plan to have them out for regular use. I tested the sharpness on arrival and was surprised they were ready to go. It was able to easily thinly slice tomatoes, cucumbers etc. It is heavy than my other Gyuto which means its weight helped slice some things but it also did not feel as agile. You may not notice unless you have another knife to compare. Blade is a little thicker than what I would expect from a Gyuto. I'm doing all my cutting on end grain cutting board. All veggies and nothing harder than normal root vegetables. Beets would be the hardest so far. We shall see how long it keeps the knife edge / how often sharpening is needed. Read more

For the price this is a great knife. It is forged steel, so it is strong and the blade is very sharp. It perfectly cut up a raw whole chicken in less than 5 minutes, better and faster than any other knife I have ever used. I cut up a roast as thin as I wanted without shredding any of the meat. The knife has a great weight and is nicely balanced, and the hand grips allow for a secure hold with no slipping. I'm very happy with this product and hope to get years of use out of it. Read more

Wanted to try this knife, because of the claims of high carbon steel and the price. Can't go wrong for a beginning cook or someone that loves to cook everyday. Definitely holds an edge, very well balanced and ergonomically correct. Would have thought, after using the knife for at least 3months ...that this knife would have been at least $100..would definitely purchase again.. Read more
