Awesome camera, I can't believe how clear the video is! This is an industrial camera that is shipped without a case. We use these cameras for High School Robotics, and we print our own cases for these camera (The designs are readily available online for ELP cameras). The camera is super simple plug and play to use. The focal point is set by the factory and not adjustable (You can see the glue on the housing where they calibrate it and fix it in place). We love these cameras, and the 8mp 180deg fisheye gives a perfect field of view for our use case. We highly recommend these cameras, just make sure you get the version that meets your needs! The main reason I got this was for usage with a Raspberry Pi, as this notably claims to support Linux and Raspberry Pi, as well as to be "plug and play". However, while the product page claims to be plug and play, the manual specifically says "Plug and play camera for PC/Laptop. Supports Windows, Linux, Android, MacOS system," seeming to hint that the plug and play functionality is only promised on Windows. I have confirmed that it is entirely plug and play on Windows, working very smoothly. However on Raspberry Pi, the feed is entirely purple and green straight out of the box. I imagine that it can be made to work, but that it will probably be an entire project, so for now this is going into the project pile until I have time to deal with whatever tomfoolery it takes to get this entirely working on Pi. I needed a camera with an extremely wide field of view for a Raspberry Pi security project and this little USB module is perfect. It was truly plug-and-play with my system, I didn't need to installing any special drivers to get a video feed up and running. The 180-degree fisheye lens captures my entire front porch in one single frame. The image is clear enough for my purpose, and its tiny size makes it easy to hide in a discreet enclosure. It’s been running 24/7 for over a week with no problems. Read more

As advertised, this gives a fisheye view, with actually a little MORE than 180˚ coverage along the diagonals (but a bit less vertically and horizontally). Without any special configuration on a Mac, it lets me select 30fps at either 960x721, 11.11Mbps or 1024x768, 72.31Mbps. I think other software should let me access the camera's full resolution, but I won't be able to try that any time soon. Picture clarity is adequate for a fisheye lens, and low-light performance is adequate as well (this won't provide night vision, but it also won't require full daylight). Recommended. Read more

180 degree 8 megapixel image and video capture is easy to accomplish with this great little unit. No extra drivers are needed by Windows 11, the camera is recognized right or of the box. It also works with a wide variety of other image and video software. Picture ratio is 1x1 square so there's not really a wrong way to position this camera. There are provisions on the circuit board for mounting as well. Read more

The media could not be loaded. The camera offers a true 180 degree wide angle picture, with pretty good image quality. It was plug and play with no hiccups. The lense looks like it has a manual focus on it, but i couldn't get it to turn, but it wasn't an issue anyway since it did a good job of keeping everything in focus on its own. Read more
