I already have a dinner plate cover that claimed to be 11". I liked it and was looking to repurchase so I can keep one plate warm while microwaving another. But that item is no longer available. I was surprised at this one when I saw how it stores on the ceiling of the microwave with magnets! I read all the description and a lot of the comments and it sounded good. IT IS GOOD! My dinner plates are 10-1/2". The previous cover claimed to be 11", but was less and awkwardly sat exactly to the edge of my plates. This cover fits over beyond my plates. That's so much better. The encased magnets have just the right amount of magnetism to lightly adhere to the ceiling of my GE over-the-stove microwave, fits well, and is easy to take down to use or remove. The instruction sheet is thorough, very clear and well-written. My other covers nest inside of this one if I want to store it in the cabinet on top of plates. I already love the Hover Cover! The media could not be loaded. It serves it's purpose, super easy to remove from the top of the microwave. Cleans easily. Since I've had it the shape has changed a bit, but not to to where it will not cover the food. I like that I can just stick it to the top and it's out of the way when I don't need it. So far very pleased with this item. It solves a number of issues I have had with other covers. Beyond mere convenience, it's a real life-saver. I'm disabled, so standing to clean my microwave on a regular basis is just not possible. This cover keeps the microwave clean for very long periods, and washes up easily by hand or dishwasher. Also, due to my disability, handles on top of most splatter covers are almost always out of my reach. These low handles are well within reach and the light weight allows me to use one hand. Having low vents/handles also keeps my hands and fingers safe from the burn risk of hot steam. Most other covers have those shallow, smooth, sloping pinch-handles that just slip out of my fingers (I've never understood that design). I've thrown away half a dozen other covers because poor design makes them more of a pain to use than not. The fact that this cover stores conveniently inside the microwave solves another issue I have with finding cabinet storage space that's within my reach. It's large enough to fit over even my full size dinner plates. I'm very impressed with the design. My one complaint is the magnets could be a tiny bit stronger so the cover would just snap into place. As it is, they just barely hold the cover up, so that's mildly annoying. The media could not be loaded. In theory it’s a great idea but I’ve tried it on two different microwaves now and it doesn’t actually stick to the top of either of them. It may be the shape of my microwaves but it seems to be picky about which ones it’ll stick to.
