I'd previously bought a less expensive knock-off and after 3 of the magnets fell off, I figured I'd just get the real thing. For several reasons, I'm so happy that I did. Love this because: - the magnets are either much stronger or placed better, because I don't have trouble getting it to hold. Could just be a matter of the specific nature of how the inside of our microwave is designed, but I used to have to fiddle with the old cover to get the magnets perfectly aligned to the inside. This one allows me to just sort of flip it up and it stays put. - the inside height gives a good inch more clearance so it doesn't touch your food. Call me lazy, but using the other one meant that I also had to wash it after every use. I can count on one hand the times I needed to wash this one - - - and that's only because of splatters and not because of direct contact with the food it was covering. FYI: - the diameter is smaller than our previous one. Rather than sit on the microwave turntable with the dish completely covered as our old one did, this cover sits on the rim of the plate itself. This matters not at all to us, but it's something to mention. - not all microwave ovens will work with magnets. Got this for our Whirlpool microwave and it works great. Bought another for our second home that has a GE Cafe Advantium microwave and magnets do not attract to the interior of that one. Check the interior of your microwave oven before ordering this. Not so great: - I only mention this because I'm looking for something to put on the "con" list, but I initially thought that because this cover is collapsible, that I could stick it up and collapse it in one motion. It wouldn't take up so much space for those times I didn't need to use it. Unfortunately it takes 2 hands and a bit of work to collapse and open the cover. Again, this is far from being an issue, as I just leave it up and open, but it's just something to mention. Overall - - - very happy. Read more

Bottom line it's not a bad cover for the microwave. My only issue is with the magnets. They are not that strong and at the same time it also depends on how your microwave roof inside or ceiling is designed. My microwave has a section in the roof on the inside where it dips or caves in the back. It's not completely flat across the top. So the magnet can't get close enough to it to fully attach and secure itself. Like I said not to mention the fact that the magnets are not as strong as they should be or could be. Otherwise nice cover that works fine. If you have a flat roof or ceiling inside the microwave , should work out just fine with the magnets . Price wise, too expensive in all honesty. Had the girlfriend split the difference with me lol. Don't care to pay over $25 for a microwave cover quite frankly. Needed something that could store easy out of the way and stay inside the microwave because of space limitations. Read more

This item works great when used. I used it, but the man of the house prefers to make extra work for me!!! It does stain easily when re-heating spaghetti. Plus some areas are hard to get to, to clean. New microwave doesn't have the magnetic strips at the top of the inside...bummer! Also, it could/should have been larger. Read more

Started to melt just like some reviewers had said. A hole burned right through one of the magnets! Almost started a fire, but I smelled, that melted plastic smell, in time. I never ran the microwave while this cover was stuck (with the magnets) to the roof of the microwave so that's not the reason. Believe the reviews and don't waste your money! NTM it could burn your house down! For sure not worth it. Read more

my microwave is not large at all and the 12" dome that I had before would get stuck as the plate is still turning. This one is the perfect size and fits great over whatever I decide to heat or reheat. It is easy to clean and dry. Storage for this is great because it collapses and doesn't take up much space. I feel like it is a great value for the price at hand. It also retains heat as well as steam, which is very impressive. Read more
