The media could not be loaded. Review: Howork Blender The Howork Blender is a solid, budget-friendly option for everyday kitchen use. It handles common tasks like smoothies, milkshakes, sauces, and light food prep with ease. The motor is strong enough to blend frozen fruit and ice cubes smoothly when used in short bursts, and the blades feel sturdy and well-designed. One thing that stands out is how simple it is to use. The controls are straightforward, making it beginner-friendly, and the compact design doesn’t take up much counter space. Cleaning is also easy—the jar and lid rinse quickly, and most parts are dishwasher safe. On the downside, it can be a bit noisy at higher speeds, and it may struggle with very thick mixtures compared to higher-end blenders. Still, for the price, the performance is impressive. Overall, the Howork Blender offers good value for everyday blending needs and is a practical choice for students, families, or anyone looking for an affordable, reliable blender. Read more

I was feeling a bit sadistic today, so the first thing I tried in this blender was nut butter, specifically pecan butter. And that was a total failure. It pulsed up the pecans decently, but it mostly just pushed them against the sides and when I pushed them back with a scraper, it just bogged down. Water thickened with 2% xanthan gum barely formed a vortex for a second, then the motor started getting hot and giving off a burning smell, so I let it cool down until the next day. A 5% mixture of instant starch did the same thing. So now we know what this blender is not good at--sticky, pasty mixtures, and highly viscous fluids. So let's talk about what it IS good at--smoothies. I popped in a variety of fruits and veggies (fresh, frozen, canned, etc), ice, yogurt, protein powder, sorbet, and so on, and it all blended up very nicely. I did a batch of BBQ sauce in here, and the texture didn't come out quite as smooth as it does with my Blendtec, but then, this is 1/4 the price of my Blendtec, so for the price, it performed very well. And the tiny little specks in there resolved themselves nicely with a combination of cooking and sieving, which I do with my sauces anyway. I did a batch of butternut squash soup, which also wasn't quite as smooth as with my more powerful blender, but still very smooth, and resolved with a little cooking and sieving. Lastly, I made a Florentine sauce, and that's where it really shined. Because this has cutting blades instead of shearing blades, as well as having 6 blades instead of 2, it will never get things quite as smooth as a Blendtec or Vitamix. But a Florentine isn't supposed to be perfectly smooth. So that works. It would be the same for a marinara or other similar sauces that are supposed to retain a bit of coarseness and texture. When all is said and done, this is a pretty solid blender for the price. Smoothies are a big component of many people's diets, mine included, both for convenience and for nutrition. So even if you only use this for smoothies, it's worth the price. And if you go beyond that, just be aware of what it is and isn't good at, and plan accordingly. The drink cup is pretty nice, although I generally just use my insulated drink cups, as do most people I know who are really into the smoothie life, so I think the drink cup is maybe somewhat superfluous, but it does feel like pretty good quality, and it's perfectly sized for an sensibly-portioned smoothie, unless you're a gym bro who just "needs" a full gallon of protein shake for your workout. Overall, this is a good buy at a good price. Read more

It's so thick and hardy that it feels like an industrial machine. It's blended everything I've put in it without any hassle. The only thing I'd say is both a pro and a con is the fact it suction cups to the surface you put it on. On one hand it certainly isn't going anywhere with the ridiculous strength of the suction, however it attaching itself to the surface means that the vibration it creates is fully commiting to as much noise as possible with the vibrations. Easy to clean as it comes apart like any basic blender, with smooth powerful functionality while being used. One of the nicest blenders I've ever owned to be honest. Read more
