Outstanding product. It’s not the pull-up bar, but the regularity with which you use it. This product will have you feeling confident and getting the repetitions in, which I think is the point. It’s so interesting how just the first level of assistance is enough to get 12-15 pull-ups in for me, in just one set. Repeat that 5 or 6 times and I’ll be feeling it the next day and the day after that. Without assistance I’m lucky if I can get 8 reps in one set, which sets me up to become disinterested in further sets. The human psyche is a Turkish bazaar, where only the hagglers break even. The foot rest is very comfortable and though my pull-up bar wasn’t designed with this product in mind, I keep this product attached to it at all times and have gotten stronger for it. The value for the money is well worth it when you consider the law of inertia (which cannot be circumnavigated). It’s a good looking design too, and doesn’t look out of place in my house, permanently. The buckles, clips and clasps seem and feel durable. I recommend this product. Read more
i have never really been able to do pull-ups and i know they are great for back/shoulders/arms so its something i always wish i could do but ive always been on the heavier side. this was easy to set up onto my power rack at home, and has made doing them easier. seems to be made of some decent material and the straps feel decent even with bare feet. you can adjust the resistance with the different bands which is nice as you progress. obviously it opens doors to be able to do multiple different pullup/chinup variations for those of use on the heavier side. great purchase for a home gym Read more
Work great. When used correctly can't support my body weight when I was almost 300 lb since I got this. I have lost 90 lb in my upper body. Strength has grown. I really appreciate this band. I do have my own pull-up bar. I don't think I would suggest putting it on a door or anything but it definitely is very strong and worth the money. I don't really use it anymore so I'll probably give it to a friend, but definitely it's worth it if you need some help Read more
I’m 6’4” and 206. I already have assistance bands but my pull up bar is too high for me to leverage them so I decided to give this a try. Received it yesterday and used it today. Easy setup and works great. Used all 3 bands to help the way up and slowly lower myself for eccentric movement. Was able to to do 2 sets of 10. Would recommend for people that need a kick start for strict pullups. Only reason for 4 stars is the clips are a bit loose (don’t retract effectively) and its a pretty tight squeeeze for all three bands. But other than that….its a big changer to help get to full/strict pullups. Read more
Bought this for my grandsons. They love the two stirrups so both feet have traction. Read more
If you've had your shoulders repaired, this will take your pull up game to the next level. This relieves the stress of dead hanging at the start of a pull-up. I highly recommend using this if you are mechanically altered. I have been able to do up to 100 assisted pull-ups with this without damaging my shoulder repairs. It's also helped with stress and tension in my upper back. Read more
Yet to be determined. Each assistance band is rated at 75 pounds so three of them equal 225lbs of assistance. I weigh 235 pounds and with the assistance bands, I can only do five chin-ups? Do the math that means I could only pull down 10 pounds five times! SERIOUSLY??? Yet on a lat machine at the gym, I can pull 180 pounds 12 times. For you to get 75 pounds of assistance out of each band, they would have to be stretched to some insane length that would not even be achievable. And keep in mind as the band contracts, the assistance it provides becomes exponentially less and less until the top 18 inches you might be getting one or 2 pounds of assistance help. It’s a tool maybe it will be helpful. I’ve only had it for three weeks. I am 71 years old and 235 pounds. I can’t do a single chin up unassisted. When I was 25 years old and 190 pounds I could do 12 to 15 chin ups for three sets so I’m thinking the biggest issue is the additional body weight. I’m saying that because in other lifts I am more physically strong than I was when I was 25 years old. Read more
This pull up assist has been more helpful than I expected. I used a pull up assist at the gym that used counter weights and this pull up assistance using bands feels as good as the gym. The foot holds are comfortable and this is very durable and I foresee it lasting a very long time. It is definitely helping me with achieving my workout goals of completing more reps which makes this product super effective! Great for beginner and intermediate levels. Highly recommend! Read more
