Had this install on our patio with a 72" down rod to replace a normal 50" fan that just wasn't moving enough air on the patio. This seems to be doing the trick. I bought two of these and they are nicest, quietest fans I've used. Absolutely silent. Looks great. Moves plenty of air on lowest setting. DC motor uses less power. The screws for the blades are tricky to get angled just right, but after a few it gets easier. A screw gun is helpful. The only real negative is that the wall plate controller has light buttons that are un-used with this model and they use 2, AA batteries that the entire wall plate has to come off to change out when they go bad. Fan ticks at any speed. Seems to come from inside, greasing the bearing didn’t work nor was it unbalanced. Thought I was getting quality with the hunter brand. Unfortunately I was wrong and just ended up wasting hundreds of dollars Read more
