Husky Liners Weatherbeater Floor Mats Fits 2007-2015 Audi Q7 Front 2nd Row 3-pc Black - 96421

These fit my 4L chassis Q7 very well, and are priced reasonably given the front & second row mats are included. Replaced the Audi, rubber, all-weather mats with these. The Audi mats look nice in car and feel good underfoot, but they cannot hold water and do not provide adequate coverage. I have the WT mats in other Q7, which are a step up from the Audi all-weather mats, but still do not offer enough coverage or water holding for this car. The Q7 has a ton of electronics, with control modules,fuses, relays, and yes, even the extra-large battery located beneath the front seats. Do yourself a favor and get a set of these, and if needed the 3rd row and cargo liners as well. Bear in mind these are packaged rolled up to fit in the smallest box possible and directions say they will need to be laid out and allowed to regain their normal shape prior to installing them. If it's cold, best take them in the house; it's made of thermoplastic, etc. These are a much better value than the WT mats and also provide greater carpet /interior protection due to a more precise fit to the car's interior, and superior water holding capability (higher edge ridges to prevent spills), etc. Those original Audi mats are hollow underneath and allow water/gunk to pass through into the carpet with very little wear on them; they are designed to fail after a short period of service; trust me, I got to pull the entire driver's seat out to remove the corrosion/rust from the seat frame and repaint it...not a good time, but it was necessary...so much rust under there. Just make sure you get them warmed up (sun, indoors, etc.) if you're putting them in when it's winter time, so they settle and conform as expected. Read more

Overall, it's a good price to pay to protect the car, and its electronics which in my case, has the battery under the driver's seat. Some cons: 1) this isn't rubbery, it's kind of a soft plastic, unlike my Audi brand mats 2) there are no snaps to hold this to the mat posts in the vehicle - it does have numerous sharp rubber barbs, but they're all over the bottom, even where the mats are meant to sit over hard plastic, 3) the plastic has a "memory" from how it was jammed into the box, and isn't laying flat. I may try using a hair dryer or heat gun on it. 4) the rear mats are one continuous piece going over the transmission tunnel. My oem mats are individual, and if you have a spill, you can take one out at a time. Not w/ this guy. You're going to need to clean it right inside the car because it won't be able to contain anything as you lift it out. This part is the most difficult to fit because it's so large, and also was folded in the shipping box. Some pros: 1) Price. It's a lot less expensive than WT, who I hear also sells plastic ones. The OEM ones aren't that much more though, and are also less expensive than WT. 2) while the front pass tray blocks the underseat compartment, they do make an outline you can use to trim it with a knife to retain access. 3) high sides that go over the edge of the side rail - this will contain better 4) this goes up behind the pedals and on the foot rest for the driver. good spots to have covered. 5) the back DOES protect the transmission tunnel carpet. i just wish the back cover came in 3 pieces to make it easier to lay flat and remove. I dont like how the rear cover curls up on one side just like my trunk liner curls up on one end. It does protect the carpet that's why I'm giving it a 3 out of 5 Read more
