I bought these for my husband's birthday. Since Amazon did not ship in Amazon packaging my husband got the mail and saw right away what they were and I had to give it to him early. I was furious. They are the perfect length. Very durable and talk about bright. I plugged it in for him and he had it turned right in my face. I saw white light for awhile lol. So no matter where you hang these you will have awesome light. They come with the chains and everything needed to hang them. Very well made and functions great. Great value for the money. Read more

I bought this 2-pack of 4' shop lights to replace the incandescent workshop fixtures that were hard-wired in my basement. I hadn't realized you can no longer purchase 4' fluorescent tube lights because they've stopped manufacturing them. I read the reviews and agree on several points: 1. The tops of the light fixtures DO get hot. Normally LED bulbs are pretty cool to the touch, but with the light these put out, they are definitely hot. This is important to note because... 2. The housing is flimsy. Cheap. The plastic housing containing the bulbs is flexible, and when it heats up, I worry about it bending or warping, but so far after a couple of weeks, they've held up. I do make it a point to not leave them on all day though. 3. They are BRIGHT. They're what you'd call "daylight" bulbs, that give off a bright, cold, bluish-white light, like a surgical bay. These are not the warm, pleasant yellowish glow of normal household lighting for sure. And using 2 fixtures is damn near like lighting a small indoor arena. 4. The cord is exactly as long as advertised (60.2 inches long, or 5 feet, 2 inches). But... If you're looking at mounting these across from each other (not end-to-end, but parallel, the cord really needs to be at least 6' long. Truth is, the cord *should* just be 6' to begin with. Were they worth the price? So far, I think yes because of their brightness, ease of setup, and pull-cords to shut individual fixtures off, but they get a 4-Star rating because of the questionable "quality" of the product housing and the shorter power cord (each fixture comes with its own power cord, which plugs into a standard US wall outlet, or another 4' light fixture paired with this type). I installed these in my attic and they really light up the space. I had fluorescents there before but these are much brighter. They installed easily and the power cords are long enough to reach the power strip I already had installed. You can plug these together but I didn’t do that. The little hanging chains were tangled up but I soon sorted that. They have hooks on them that best go in from the end of each strip. Now I want to give away the old fixtures! Read more

These were easy to install. I wish they were linkable, but they worked fine. I installed them to extend lights in the garage. I need a lot of light to work! These put out a good bit more than the LED replacement bulbs that were in the other shop lights in the garage. No noise, no flicker. We'll see about how they last in a garage with no temp control, but have survived nicely in the 40 days of 90+ so far. Read more
