I bought two sets of these lights and I was worried initially over the quality. Once they arrived, I was quite impressed with how they were constructed. I wanted one of the sets for lighting inside of a nook with no light source and wow. Install isn’t the easiest and some would slip out as others were connected but it was well worth the work. These lights are a BRIGHT, beautiful white which is exactly what I wanted. I hate the bluish LEDs but these are bright and exactly what I was looking for. I have yet to install the next set but I will be plugging in and building from there ensuring they all work which is what I found worked for me when installing the first set. I’ve been a fan of Hyperlite’s LED lighting for a while, so when I decided to upgrade from the 5 hexagon set to the 15 hexagon set, I was excited to see what improvements might come with the increased number of panels. The Amazon listing claimed a total of 64,000 lumens for the 15 hexagon set, which sounded like it would provide a substantial increase in brightness compared to my previous 5 hexagon setup. However, after installing the 15 hexagons, I noticed something that left me a bit disappointed. Despite the impressive lumen rating, the 15 hexagon lights weren’t any brighter than the 5 hexagon set. In fact, I’d say they’re actually less bright overall. The light output just didn’t seem to have the same intensity or vibrancy that I had come to expect, especially given the higher lumen rating. I double-checked all the connections, ensured the power supply (voltage) was working correctly, and confirmed that everything was installed properly. Still, the brightness was not up to par. I contacted Hyperlite’s customer support team to see if they could explain what might be going wrong. They were responsive and polite, and we went through some troubleshooting steps together. Unfortunately, they couldn’t provide a clear explanation for why the 15 hexagons weren’t as bright as I expected, nor could they identify any technical issues with my setup. They were understanding of my concerns and, while they didn’t have a solution for the brightness issue, they did offer a partial refund as a way to make up for the discrepancy. I appreciated their willingness to address the issue and the fair offer, even though it didn’t fully solve the problem. That being said, I do want to acknowledge that the 15 hexagon lights do have their positives. For one, they look really cool and add a modern, professional touch to my garage. The geometric design of the hexagonal panels creates a sleek, clean aesthetic that definitely elevates the space. The addition of the red border adds a high-tech, futuristic vibe that really makes the lights stand out. It’s a nice design feature that gives the lights a more sophisticated, cutting-edge look, especially when they’re turned on. They give off a cool, ambient glow and look great in the right setting. So, while the brightness wasn't as expected, I can still appreciate the aesthetic value these lights bring. In conclusion, I’m torn about these lights. On the one hand, they’re visually impressive and offer a unique look with the red-bordered design, but on the other, they didn’t meet my expectations in terms of brightness. While the customer service experience was positive and they did offer a partial refund, the core issue remains unresolved. If you’re after strong, intense lighting, this may not be the best option. But if you're more interested in a stylish lighting solution that adds a professional, high-tech touch to your space, these could still be worth considering. I installed a set of these in my wife’s sewing shop versus using regular lighting fixtures. I was so impressed that I bought a set for my garage. These things are pretty awesome so far! Very and I mean very simple install process. I recommend if hanging from drywall to use toggles and toss the anchors it comes with. With a toggle anchor you have a lot of extra play in the screw to just leave everything loose but out of the way until you are done. They came with a plug AND a direct wire pig tail that allows for a much cleaner install. All lights work and are identically bright. Easily three times as bright as the fluorescent lights they replaced. If they leave the chat in a couple days, I’ll update my review! Read more
