I needed a tripod that could hold me DSLR (Sony A series) and a medium/small sized lens. However, it was cumbersome to use my full-sized Tripod and extend / lean it's leg onto my desktop. So I went it search of a small desktop tripod that could get fairly close (low down) to the desk. This tripod fit the bill ! I had to look through ton of options, but this iFOOTAGE tripod does the job. I like that it's nearly all metal, and feels substantial. The legs stay firmly in place until you move them, and the rubber footpads provide grip and stability. The ball head give good options for positioning your camera. I don't have a super long lens on my camera, but if I did I think this would hold well and have no tipping issues. The screw at the top of the ball head is the larger size (I don't know the standard dimensions for those). Thankfully, the quick release head that I attached to the top can compensate both standard screw sizes. But just a heads up that it's the larger of the two screw sizes. In addition there is a mount screw on the bottom of the tripod, so it looks like you could attach a head there for an additional positioning. Read more

Love everything about this table-top tripod; from its materials to its design, you can tell everything was well thought out. This thing got a bit of weight -- which makes it very sturdy to use, and it's a result of the quality materials used as well. The ball-head is silky smooth, and just the right amount of firmness. I'll be honest, I've always had a perception that iFootage is just one of those cheap photography brands that came out of China, so I never gave it much consideration -- especially since I'm using my gear for professional use, pricing is not my top priority; quality is. After playing around with some iFootage products from my friend and since owning this tripod, I've turned into a real fan of theirs. If you're looking for a quality product, this one definitely belongs right up there with the best. Read more

I owned a Manfrotto PIXI Mini tripod for about 3 years. It was great for my iPhones and small mirorless cameras without a heavy lens cage or other Accesories. However in time my setup got upgraded, I started to use a regular tripod for my Videos but I was missing a good mini tripod. After doing some extensive research I landed on this ifootage Cobra 2 and boy I was right to get it. The quality of the materials used to build this sturdy tripod is stellar. Just by holding it you instantly get the impression that it will securiely hold a heavy payload. The quick release mechanism is a plus especially if you consider also getting the K5 fluid head which by the way has a fantastic value. I also got it, waiting to deliver tomorrow. The only thing that I’m missing at this point is the monopod ( you can actually buy the monopod with the cobra 2. It comes that way but if you got the cobra 2 separately like I did you can by only the monopod extension) Bottom line, I love the quality, the sturdiness and the compatibility getting from ifootage a truly modular experience. I’m using it to hold a Panasonic GH6 + small rig Cage, 5inch monitor w battery and a Sigma 18-35 lens. No issues. Read more

The instant you pick this tripod up, you know you are holding a quality product. There's no flimsy plastic here, or actually no plastic at all. Everything is made of solid metal that has a very sturdy feel. Nevertheless, the tripod has a compact form factor and is easy to travel with. I don't expect this thing to ever break, but if it did, I would come straight back and buy another. It is that good. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but it seems to be worth every penny. Read more

I've used this tripod on multiple occasions. The durability and build quality is really something to behold. IFOOTAGE makes solid products overall and this one fits pretty dang well into their portfolio. If you need something that's durable, medium weight (for its size), and stability, you really can't go wrong. That said, there are some nits: The footprint of the tripod is pretty small so it's not stable on soft surfaces such as carpet. It works, just don't expect it to take any lateral forces well. And the feet are a bit to short to lump bean bags on them. While light for its size, it is still beefy and solid. The "quick release" top is a bit of a pain. Once it's on, it's REALLY on but after you figure it out, it's not all that bad. Just remember, push down on the red collar, pull up and out on the top. Congrats to IFOOTAGE on a solidly-made product. Definitely worth the investment. This is something that will last and last probably for much of your career. Especially if you're old like me. ;) Read more

This incredibly well made, sturdy, and easy to operate tripod is the PERFECT desktop tripod for my microphone that I use for Zoom calls and voice overs. The easy release mechanism is simple to use and doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. The legs fold up for easy transfer to a camera bag or backpack without taking up a huge amount of space. It's worth the extra cash to have a tripod that will last and is expertly balanced so my microphone is no danger of tipping over or falling onto the floor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Read more

This tripod is the most sturdy & overbuilt one I have come across - and I looked for a long time for a small sturdy tripod! This tripod will securely hold my [Nikon] D4s with a 70-200mm 2.8 lens. No slippage and no falling over. I cannot recommend this tripod enough!! There is nothing negative to say about this. Read more
