Replaced a Delonghi Alicia electric moka pot that after more than 5 years of near constant use had begun to have leak issues. Loved it but when I went to seek it out again the price had nearly tripled. I have no brand loyalty if prices jump that much! The Imusa was much more reasonably priced and performs as well as the previous. It’s been more than 6 months of use and is doing well. For both moka pots I use a paper filter between the bottom and top where the pot screws on to reduce the amount of grounds that make it to my cup. The plastic handle seems a bit looser but is holding up so far. It doesn’t have the 30 minute auto shut off, which I miss, but I am more than happy with this electric moka pot. Read more

This is the easiest way to make stronger coffee. It’s not an espresso maker because it doesn’t brew at the same pressure as an espresso machine, but the coffee does have a stronger taste. The temperature is also hotter than your typical drip coffee maker. Functionally, I wish there were water level lines instead of vague references to the vent to indicate how far the water level should be.
