Do Not Skimp On Your Tripod. Get the best one you can right out of the gate. just bite the bullet and take the plunge. Having Not done that, and purchased several tripods that did not fit my needs, I finally got my wife to let me buy this. (LOL, yes, I had to really work to sell this purchase!) This tripod is simply peerless. Looks like a fine piece of art to look. Wonderfull construction. Massive but pretty light--I think I got the tallest one they make. easy to set up, sturdy as can be. coupled with a gimbal head, holds full frame dslr and large telephoto lens rock steady. and it is half the cost of the top two or three brands. do not know why I waited to buy a better tripod. If Arthur Morris uses these, that is certainly good enough for me. comes with a huge padded carry bag with backpack straps, a second set of feet and metal spikes you can screw into the feet. and a nifty tool kit to boot. The carry case is big enough to pack my camera & the tripod so I can take the whole kit to the field in one bag. You will never regret buying one of these induro tripods. they really are a really great product for the price. Read more

I purchased this to hold a SuperTelephoto Lens and Canon 1DMkIV bodies for wildlife photography, mainly birding. The tripod easily handles the largest of configurations and allows ample adjustment for a very tall person. It raises up to over 7 feet! I also purchased the GHB2C gimbal head with this unit and am very happy with the initial look and feel of the setup. It should be noted that this tripod configuration does not use a center column for tweaking height adjustment in the field as it would add instability. It takes a little getting used to as you adjust the legs for last minute height adjustments but the sturdiness and ease of leg adjustment more than makes up for the missing column. The case that comes with this tripod is very nice and well padded. Disassembly is easy and storing it in the bag is a quick process. The tripod came with very beefy rubber padded feet, small rubber feet and a set of large metal spikes to choose from. Me likey. Read more

I purchased the Induro Tripods GIT404L No. 4 Grand Series several moths ago and have put it to good use. It is a sturdy well made monster of a tripod. I use it to photograph wildlife with a canon setup and a 500 prime. After several months of use i can honestly say that I love this tripod. It is heavy but like I said very sturdy. The large collars to lock the legs are easy to adjust and lock. I shoot with a friend that is currently using a Gitzo series 5 tripod for way more money than I spent, and I like the Induro much better. It came with a great travel bag to protect the tripod. I can have my rig set up in no time at all. Read more

Good tripod, very heavy duty. Not so in love with big feet so I use the ball feet. Would like to have some spikes for the feet. Well made and stable. No center column which restricts height adjustment with a gimbal head. Induro should offer and short adjustable heavy duty center column. Read more

This is a beast of a tripod. It is very strong. It can go very low or extend high so there is a lot of flexibility. I am using it with a Manfrotto head (not light) and a Kessler slider. The tripod comes with a very nice and substantial carrying case. The case is big enough so that the attached head can fit in it, which means one less setup step at the shooting site. This tripod is priced at around $600. If you want to be able to shoot very low with a lot of stability, then this is an excellent choice that is worth the money. Read more

I purchased this tripod so I could mount a gimbal head on it for wildlife photography. It is extremely well made. The legs extend and retract very smoothly and easily due to the large collars on the legs. This is not the sort of tripod you would like to hike any distance with but for shoots not far from your car it is an amazing piece of equipment. It is expensive but well worth every dollar. I also purchased an Induro BHD2 ballhead for it and it is a fantastic combination. Very glad I purchased this tripod. Would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Read more

Solid as a rock. I have another induro carbon fiber tripod that I'm a big fan of. This version with the flat top we got to use with our slider. Works great. If you lug gear around carbon fiber really makes a difference in the long run in terms of stress on your body and damage to your car with in and out loading. Read more
