I really like this tripod. Lighter and smaller than my FLM tripod of yesteryear and much easier to use and transport. While somehow this tripod feels even more steady and robust. Great quality materials. The leg twist rings are higher quality than my FLM and older days Manfrotto tripods. Size is good. Just under 19" without a tripod head means it will fit in airline carry on bags. Around 22" with a reasonably sized tripod head means you could backpack and other activities without this also very light tripod annoying you. Read more

Smooth telescoping legs, great stability and carbon fiber frame for a decent price. Everything I read about this tripod added up to good and I'm not regretting making this decision. Read more

I purchased to replace an older SLIK tripod that I had for 20 years. The old one was great but needed to be replaced. The new one seem greater! Extremely light weight and easy to use...I wish I had it years ago. Read more

I use this tripod 5 days/week for real estate photography, so it gets a fair amount of usage. At first I really liked it, it’s very lightweight and sturdy. But, as time went on, I have seen a couple of flaws with it. First issue was with the tripod feet. They screw out and give you the option to use other feet. For me, I’m happy with the ones it came with. However, unbeknownst to me, two of them disappeared during a trip to Vermont (so nothing I could do until I got home). I had no idea they were getting loose. I had to pay $20 to order replacements. A photo friend recommended purchasing thread lock, which I did this time so at least I don’t anticipate them coming loose again. Second, the independent leg-angle locks on the collars (there is one for each leg) have started to release on their own. I do not use this option ever during my work day because I keep the same angle for the legs. Several times I’ve had to readjust the leg and push the leg back to its appropriate angle and push the lock back in. I’ve never had this happen on other tripods, so it’s frustrating as it happens over and over. If these two issues were nonexistent I would give this tripod 5 stars, but they do, at least for me. Good quality, light weight comes with carry bag. Only suggestion would be to put a washer or locktite on the adjustable center mounting screw when you know which you will use to avoid it backing out and loosing it. Read more
