I use this to prepoo my hair, deep condition my hair (when I'm short on time), and to help my leaving soak in. I have low porosity hair, so steaming it really helps my products absorb better. I use the prongs like a wide tooth comb to help gently separate my coils. It cuts down on detangling my hair and the amount of passes I need with my unbrush. I'm not a wash and go girly, so I haven't tried it to refresh my curls, but I could see the diffuser attachment being good for that. I intended to use it for extra moisture and for refresh days. I tried that and it just made my hair VERY frizzy. As far as the product itself, outside of my personal usage, it was a great item. Easy to use, the heat wasn't too hot. I do feel like it could scald you but you'd have to be REALLY negligent. Just really think about what humidity does to your hair before you purchase.
