I bought this at Fry's Electronics and used it with a flash drive and a USB-to-Ethernet cable for development. However, I noticed that file playback was poor off the drive, so I did some digging. In testing via USBDeview in Windows, I found that a drive plugged in directly would write at 11MB/s, read at 22MB/s. Through this hub, I was only getting 1MB/s reads and writes. That's abysmal. It did seem to be reliable in keeping a connection, so I could see using this for low-speed devices like mice or keyboards, but if you need any speed, find another product. Read more
I plan to do a video review to slam this item later. I did not buy it from Amazon, I bought mine from Micro Center in Denver, Co. However, every half an hour or so, no matter what USB slot, and on more than one pc, this mother decides to lose it's connection and anything plugged into it is out of luck. I really can't stand "sucker products", which are deliberately built to rip you off. I am just hoping to save anyone time and trouble. DO NOT buy this! Whoever put this out should be beaten.
