TL/DR: The quality you expect from Belkin Pros: o Great tool for expanding your laptop o Easy to setup and use This is a great hub that expands my work laptop to my external monitors, keyboard, and mouse. Love just having to plug one USB in! The quality is what you would expect from Belkin, justifying the higher price tag over no-name competitors. -------- I'm honored to be included in the Amazon Vine program, and I work really hard to make these reviews and videos helpful. I put in a lot of effort to try to help you learn the most important facts about the product. Good luck with your decision, and if you do decide to buy the product, I hope the things you find in this review make it easier to use. Read more
So I'm actually a little surprised by this hub as I was expecting one or more of the ports to not function at the same time but no, even with the microSD card slot (I didn't have a regular SD slot handy to test with it) and all the USB ports occupied my PC was able to see everything that was plugged in. Obviously it splits the performance of the USB-C port, so how much you get out of this will depend on the speed of the USB-C port you have it plugged into. I was also surprised that the ethernet port was able to work for my iPad and allowed me a faster internet connection (around 330 Mb/s using WiFi to 360 Mb/s) while ALSO still letting me use the USB ports at the same time. I will say this hub is obviously intended for use with a laptop given the shortness of the cord, so without an extension it's not as useful for a desktop. The hub also has a very solid feel to it and is portable enough to easily toss into a bag and bring with you. My only complaint is I wish it had some non-slip feet on the bottom as the stiffness of the cord when plugged into a laptop or tablet can push it around on the desk, but also when just setting it down it can slide pretty easily from an accidental bump or being on a slanted surface. Not a big deal as it's solid enough to take a drop but it would be nice. The only issue I ran into was that for some reason the second from the left USB-A port wouldn't see an old USB 3.0 HDD I had (like first gen 3.0 old), but when I switched it to the first one and the USB stick that was in the first one to the second it saw all of them just fine. Also the second port DOES connect to the old drive fine when it's the only one occupied. Just really odd, but I assume it has something to do with the age of the drive and maybe how the priority is set for the ports, all my other drives work fine with it otherwise. Pros: -Solid build quality -Fast speeds (depending on your USB-C port) -Multiple simultaneous connections -Portable -Compatible with multiple devices/OS Cons: -Not the cheapest -No non-slip feet Over all I think this is a great hub; it's not the cheapest you could get but it performs really well. I would highlight the ethernet port as the main reason to get this device, if you're only after a USB-A/USB-C hub you could easily find something cheaper that would meet your needs, but if you're looking for something that allows you an ethernet connection through USB-C for faster download speeds and need to connect to various different devices, then this is definitely worth it. This is probably the fifth USB hub I've tried out recently and it's finally one that works on ALL my computers and devices with USB C ports. The only thing it lacks is an adapter to use on my older computers with only USB 3.0 A-type ports, but I already have that and you just can't connect USB C stuff when using it that way. I've been able to get files moved off and onto SD and microSD cards, use thumb drives, or just hook up multiple devices. My wife's laptop only has two USB C ports and few A ports, so this gives her the ability to connect to the printer, hotel Ethernet, the hotel TV, her keyboard and mouse, plus charge her phone, while still having an open USB C port in case I want to connect my phone too. The only complaint I have is the piano black surfaces AND the matte black surfaces pick up and display fingerprints easily. You can wipe it off, set it down, and it still looks like a toddler handled it in between jelly sandwich bites. For the connectivity and expansion ability, it's 5 stars so I love it, just don't look at it. Read more

I bought this to upgrade from a gigabit ethernet USB-C hub to a 2.5G hub. However, I am struggling to get even 600mb on this hub while my old one had no problem hitting 1gb. I thought maybe I had a defective unit and got a replacement from Amazon, but still had the same issue. This was on a M4 pro Macbook. Read more
