Fantastic: It did the job very well for 4 USB 3.0 & 2.0 Disk Drives. I have a couple of hubs, and for some reason they won't run external USB Drives. So, I was looking for something that works. I read the specs for many hubs on Amazon and E-Bay and a LOT of them had something in the 'fine print' about "won't work with WD Passport drives, or abc drives, or xyz drives"... I didn't get it. After lots of Web research the bottom line is: the hub's quality and design, etc. Several folks recommended trying this Belkin 4 Port hub with Power supply. I took it out of the box, plugged in the AC adapter, and 4 WD/Seagate USB Drives and they all worked 100% at USB 3.0. Then, I tested some older WD USB 2.0 drives, and they all play very well together. I'm ordering another one of these so I'll wind up with 6 USB 3.0 and 2.0 drives, both AC powered and USB powered all playing well together on my Alienware 18x Win-8 Pro machine. Read more

This hub has served me very well thus far, I love the easy under desk mount-ability, the led indicator light and the speeds on all ports has been excellent. I have one issue however, the cables are very short. The power cable and USB cable are not nearly long enough just to reach my computer when under my desk. Seriously, these cables are ridiculously short and $40 is a lot to ask considering the cables are tiny and there is 4 ports but I cannot argue with the performance. Read more
Attractive design; plenty of power; lets me plug in old stuff to my new computer; data transfer speed as expected. Winner. Read more
As I write this I am scared that this Hub shorted out my MacBook Pro. I had this hub running at my office without issues although I only had two peripherals plugged into it. I brought it home and set it up on my MacBook Pro. I first plugged it into the USB port on the left side of my MBP. It seemed to have problems when I connected a disk drive to it. After about several tries the disk drive died and I decided to move the connecter from the left side USB port to the right side USB port. As soon as I plugged it in my right side USB port on my MBP it went dead. The screen went black and after several tries I could not get it to boot up. When I contacted Belkin they at first seemed like they could help but soon they discounted any kind of surge from their hub could cause the issue. On their website they have customer reviews and there were two others the mentioned possible surge issue that blow out ports. I put a review up on their site too but noticed, that even though they have not addressed this issue, they took my review down as they did with the other surge reviews. This Hub is rated very low on this own site. I am very concerned that this Hub can cause damage to the computers it is plugged into. Read more
my computer has three USB ports but unfortunatley they are under the screen, which means I have to lift up the computer to remove or insert anything. This exter allows me 4 ports at a very convenient location so that I can select a USB port easily. No problems works very well. Read more
Great addition of USB ports. It is small and unobtrusive but works great and has room for 4 connections. We used Velcro to stick it to the case of the computer and works like it was built there. Also works great on the desk. It works for USB 2 too. Very attractive and well made as are all the Belkin products we have. Read more
Looked for a hub that would work on my 2013 iMac. Tried a few other that just did not work. The Belkin SuperSpeed has worked without error and without stopping since i put it on the iMac. I have a backup drive, fitbit, diskette drive and i use a variety of USB sticks with no error what so ever. I really like the Belkin SuperSpeed USB hub. I just wish I did not have to try the others along the way to finding one that worked well with the Apple iMac. Read more
