My dog owns several snuffle mats. He has had them for years and never torn or damaged them. He has used this 3 times and it has multiple rips. I've watched him use it. The rips are not from his teeth but from the force from maneuvering. Needs to be made from a more durable fabric. Read more

The outside rubber feels strong and thick. The individual brightly colored strips of soft material are rolled up into the many holes the toy has and roll out easily. Some get pushed further into the base yet can be pulled out. There are plenty of rolled up strips to keep her busy, I get to roll them back up and push them back in.
