Replaced a cooling fan in ps5. Console was running loud, would glitch after a longer run time from heat. I cleaned the unit out, felt the original fan to be slightly notchy when removed and free spinning. This replacement part is identical to the original, MFG markings, plug and fit perfectly. Pay attention to the fastener locations, those are different! Works great!! Read more
Indeed an improvement! Easy to install with the right tools. I swapped the fan from my launch PS5. There's still some low RPM chug, but it's definitely quieter. For me, someone who hates fan noise, it was worth the upgrade. Read more
Made a huge mistake cleaning out the original fan with a vacuum hose and damaged it. A big no no. Replaced it with this, and it runs even cooler than when I first got my PS5. I highly recommend. The screwdriver is a HUGE PLUS!! Read more
This is one of the best upgrades you can make to your PS5. Unfortunately, the original design with a 23-blade fan isn’t what most consoles ship with—you typically get the 17-blade commercial version instead. When I started playing Hogwarts Legacy, I ran into heating issues almost immediately. After replacing the fan with the 23-blade version, I haven’t had a single overheating problem since.
