This Tri Technology High-Performance Ionic Hair Dryer is amazing. It's easy to use and can be used on all hair types. The blow dryer is easy to turn on and off and has four different temperature settings that are easy to distinguish with the lights on the back of the blow dryer as well as the appropriate temperature of the air coming out. Red is the hottest temperature while blue is the cold function. There's also a button that can be held down to blow out cold air regardless of what heat setting the dryer is on. The attachments (a diffuser and smoothing nozzle) snap on using magnets instead of having to hook them on to the dryer which, from my experience, can be difficult to do. The way they attach is great for people with injured or painful hands. This dryer also pulls in air from the bottom instead of the back like all other dryers I've used. It prevents any hairs from being sucked into and caught inside the dryer. The cord is thick and sturdy and the plug slides right into the outlet with no resistance or bending of the prongs. It's also moveable too so it's easy to move the dryer around your head. This dryer also works tremendously well for people with all hair types! In my house, I have 2c hair, my older daughter has 3c hair, and my younger daughter has 1b hair. This dryer works great for all of our hair! My younger daughter loves the smoothing nozzle to help make her hair look smooth and shiny even during the dry winter months, and my older daughter and I love the diffuser. It really helps to make our curls stand out more without the over use of product while at the same time, not causing more frizz. We had my kids' aunt who has 4c hair try it out and she loves it too! As for it drying faster than a traditional hair dryer, none of us think it does, but it clearly has many other features that make it 100% worth it. This hair dryer surprised me in several very good ways. The first thing I noticed is how quiet it is compared to many high-performance dryers. Even on the highest setting, the sound level is much lower than expected. This is a fantastic dryer. It does not dry my hair any faster than a regular dryer, but has several points that make it so much better: It doesn't suck air through the back, is sucks the air through the bottom of the handle, so it's a million times harder to get your hair sucked up into it and ripped out. I have very long hair, I was getting my hair stuck constantly and I had a really good dryer. This item has had zero issues with my hair getting sucked up. It blows a million times faster with a much lower temperature. You really have a try to burn your scalp with this because it just doesn't get super hot. But it makes up for that with speed: This thing is like using a wet/dry vac on your hair. You know those dryers that they use for dogs? That's what this feels like. The lower temperature really helps with the damage to my hair, the speed makes it a little harder to brush out but I'll take it to prevent more damage. It's so quiet. It's impossibly quiet, I didn't realize how loud my old one was. Not that I need to hear everything when I'm drying my hair but work mentioning in case you have kids or a hopeless husband. The bag and included items are nice and well made. The attachments fit perfectly. If you have been looking at the brand name version of this item, give this one a chance. I think it works wonders. This is an awesome hair dryer. It comes nicely boxed and looks high end. It is a silver color and a lightweight unit. It has a longer cord for convenient use. It has different drying levels that light up with different lights. It has a cold shot option. It is a negative ion dryer to help smooth and prevent frizzing. I have fine hair and this works terrific. It is super quiet and fits in the hand nicely. The air intake is in the bottom of the unit, not the usual side! This keeps it from accidentally grabbing the hair and sucking it in. Especially great if you have longer hair. It has a self cleaning button. This is an option I have never seen before in a hair dryer. It comes with a smoothing attachment and a diffuser. It also has a nicely made zippered pouch with a handle to keep it and the attachments in. This is a quality drying system which is a great gift for yourself or for someone who wants salon looking results.
