I was looking for a simple and easy-to-use rice cooker and found this IRIS product. The button operation screen is very simple and easy to read and operate. The set also comes with a cup for measuring rice and a rice scoop (and it stands up!). Looking forward to trying some other recipes using this rice cooker other than white rice. I would like to see other colors available, a handle for easy carrying, etc. for future reference. I think I made a good purchase! Read more

The media could not be loaded. It is a cute compact rice cooker but not the best to cook rice. I may have higher expectations but this is not what I was looking for. I soaked the rice in water at least half an hour before I started to cook. I followed the instructions. I used the measuring cup that came together. But it didn’t turn out as nicely as I expected. The rice was flakey and dry. The cook time is very long for even a normal white rice cooking mode (over 70 minutes). It was very quiet while it’s cooking. The quality seems ok. The top lid is kind of flimsy and it doesn’t stay open straight up unless you carefully find the right angle or spot to keep that upright. The pot is nice and thick. It didn’t stick to the pot at all. It is very easy to clean, which is a plus. It comes with multiple cooking options. For me, cooking sushi rice is the main function so it didn’t really matter to me. Unfortunately this doesn’t really meet my expectation. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone especially who knows how cooked rice tastes like in Japan. I’ll keep using my pressure cooker on the stove. That is way quicker and tastes better… Read more

The size was nice but i did not like that it took an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes to cook white, brown or jasmine rice. I returned it because of that. It should take around 20-30 minutes to cook rice in a rice cooker not double. Just my opinion. Read more
