I’m really happy with this Jambo Light. It was easy to set up right out of the box and instantly made the room feel more warm and inviting. The brightness is just right—not too harsh, but still provides plenty of light. The design looks modern and high quality, and it fits nicely with my home décor. It feels sturdy and well made, not cheap at all. I’ve been using it daily and it’s been working perfectly. It was GREAT when I first bought it (in January). But for the last 6 months, the waxy material (lava) hasn't moved at all. I've tried shaking the glass, unplugging it for days, and retrying it. Replaced the light bulb. Nothing works. It's dead. I'm hoping the legendary customer service these folks are reputed to have kicks in, because I'm feeling duped. My last lamp was a brand-name Lava Lamp, and it lasted me well over a decade before the bulb holder broke. I was hoping the Jambo would be a great replacement. I have extra bulbs, but no movement when the thing is on and plugged in. See the photo. Sad. UPDATE: 12/29/25, Jambo sent me a replacement free of charge, and that unit is working beautifully. I also purchased another one because I like the product and appreciate their strong customer support. Companies like that should be rewarded. Read more

*Update* Jambo read my review & quickly contacted me and offered to refund or send a new one right away. I am grateful that they offer such good customer service. Often amazon sellers are too big & pay for a 3rd party to handle the customer service. Thank you so much for great service! Original: It was beautiful but unfortunately when our daughter plugged it in it the bulb inside exploded! Not the entire thing just the bulb. very disappointing for her as she was excited to see it working. we will be returning. not sure it maybe this type of thing should not be shipped? maybe it was damaged during transport? hopefully the next one works well. I've only had it for a couple hours but so far I love this! It's exactly what I was looking for. Other glimmer lava lamps have such small sparkles. These are nice and large and I can see them from across the room. Since it's across the room on the dresser I bought a remote switch so that I can turn it on from my bed in the morning. I also found replacement bulbs at Walmart in case I need them. Will edit if anything changes. Edit: the only negative is that it takes a half hour for it to warm up enough to get all the Stars moving. Or I can give it a slight wiggle and that gets them going right away. This JAMBO 16" lamp is absolutely beautiful! The purple base combined with the yellow/orange wax looks stunning when it’s on and creates a calming, mesmerizing effect.
