I love good metal... kitchen knives, scissors, etc. (Before I retired I cut and sewed people up for a living.) I've had my share of good fingernail clippers, some expensive ones. But two things are important: One, the size has to be right. There's a right size for one's fingers, a different size for one's toes, and all fingers and toes are different, too. I've bought good quality only to find that they were too big or too small. I like the size of these. Second, clippers need to be sharp. These are inexpensive, but they're new, and therefore sharp. So they cut really well. They may dull out more quickly than clippers 5x their price, but who cares? In medicine we use disposable scalpels. If I use these for a couple of years and then get new ones, it's money well-spent. (And yes, I recycle!) Read more
