I had to write this review because while i am not new to taking Glutathione, in various forms, this form which doesn't have to be purchased through a practitioner, still gives amazing results. Let me explain.....I have been taking glutathione for a few years now, the first form i tried was IV through my natural dr's office, while this is the best way to get G into the body it was about 92 dollars a pop! So i then tried, through the same dr, glutathione liposomal because that is supposed to be the next best form of G, which was in capsule form, which you cannot just buy online or over the counter. a bottle of that was about 63 dollars. That form did actually work well for me but i didn't want to drive to the dr's office every time to get a new bottle. Ok so then i switched from the natural dr to seeing an acupuncturist who i purchased another kind of liposomal G from which was a thick liquid which was again taken by mouth, 1 teaspoon. While that wasn't as good as the capsule form mentioned above and no where near as good as the IV, it was 54 dollars a bottle and taking only 1 teaspoon daily it did last a while, longer than the capsules. So i wasn't really impressed with that version and i started to search other online manufacturers of liposomal G, i found two diff types i purchased on amazon but clearly after those being tested by my acupuncturist they were not nearly as good and i could hardly tell that they were affecting me at all in a positive way. By this time I switched to another acupuncturist who sold G in a capsule form not liposomal type (which is supposed to be better absorption) but i didn't want to buy that kind. I remembered that some where along the way i purchased a bottle of Jarrow G and liked the results, but i couldn't remember how great the results were because i was too busy focusing on trying to get something as close to the results from the IVs i used to get. Ok so about 3 years later and totally dissatisfied with the purchases of lipsomal glutathione online, i thought i would try the Jarrow brand again. The reviews were alot better than most of the G product reviews, also i am a fan of Jarrow products they are of high quality. I take alot of supplements, homeopathic and regular pill form supplements for preventive type medicine, to keep myself as healthy as possible. So i'm not new to supplements, herbs, medicinal teas, homeopathic tinctures....etc and so forth. This product is amazing, i can tell you how i know, when you take glutathione in the right dose and of good quality you have an incredible feeling of well being, you get the best sleep every single night, i actually wake up BEFORE my alarm clock goes off in the morning, generally about an hour before it goes off, it gives me amazing energy, natural energy, it's like night and day. The results you get when you don't take it and then when you introduce G into your body. It is truly amazing i will forever take it for the rest of my life, glutathione that is. It keeps my young and energetic and that's a good thing. I am a 47 yr old grand mother, just turned this month, am perimenopausal, i get ALL of the same great benefits of a glutathione IV as with this product, now i know it's not the same but i explained all of the above to help you make a decision as to the best product you can buy for yourself. I will stick with this quality as it is the easiest to purchase, at cheapest price, AND still delivers great results. I take one a day. I come home from a long day, and all i can do is think about working out! i have so much energy even if i go to bed at 12 oclock at night, my body still wakes up before the clock alarms, fully rested, i feel great and am very pleased with this product. I'm not a young spring chicken any more, laugh, but this product helps me feel as close to that as possible. I also take this product with 8 mg of Jarrow Astxanthan (which is another amazing products for inflammation, stiffness..its a powerful antioxidant.etc), i take these along with' B complex with intrinsic factor' and hair vitamin called Dasgro (lots of good stuff in that as well), i also add wheat grass tablets and have recently added phosphatidylcholine. That's pretty much what i take that keeps me young and energetic and at my optimal health. I will continue buying this product. Best Glutathione product I've tried, and I've tried most brands. Jarrow's just feels much purer, and a lot stronger than any of the other brands. I just don't get as good results with the other brands. Glutathione is an amino acid naturally occuring in our bodies, but it is also available from the plant sources this product uses, and all the other brands are all made from plant sources. It can be depleted by some illnesses, and by aging. My doctor had suggested I take it, due to my levels being lowered by a nasty chronic viral infection related to Shingles. We did measure levels of amino acids in my body, in a medical test to see various things my brilliant doctor could take a look at, to see how to improve my condition. Taking it was like turning the lights on in a dark room! Wow! My energy levels picked up closer to normal, after being quite fatigued, and my mental alertness returned after having severe brain fog for a couple years, where I would get confused about what I was trying to do that day, and had to carry around detailed lists so I wouldn't forget. The impact was huge for me. It helped me to return to being an active, almost normal, happy human, instead of moping around my house, struggling to go to Starbuck's or Peet's for my once weekly outing! I also took Inosine, another amino acid that has similar benefits, and saw a very good, very skilled, expensive acupuncturist who stopped my debilitating neuralgia pain. About a year later, my doctor gave me an antiviral supplement medication called Artesunate, and Transfer Factors (the best one is by Researched Nutritionals, 3 times stronger than any other brand I tried), and gradually I found myself heading towards normalcy, and being able to return to work. But I'm still taking the Glutathione, making sure I don't run out at any time, because I can return to the brain fog without taking it. It's a crucial part of my recovery. I feel energetic & clear minded after taking it, every time. I've read that it's very good for seniors needing a good brain fuel and memory booster too. It can help people who are recovering from illnesses & injuries. So, if you need something like Glutathione, for what it does, this Jarrow product, is by far the best one. I'd rate it as about 5 times the strength of Solgar. Solgar's is ok, but not near the strength of Jarrow, but Solgar is one of the better ones besides Jarrow, as some of the other brands seem to have no strength at all, no effect. I have read that some companies use a much less beneficial process in making the medication than Jarrow, so that a lot of the amino acid strength doesn't stay in the product. I suppose some people might find this one too strong though, as it seems far stronger to me than other brands. So if you're too sensitive, or find the Jarrow too strong, you could go with the Solgar product. The Jarrow product is easy to tolerate, and I've never seen any side effects. This offering here is half price of the retail price at every natural foods store I've shopped at. So it's a very good deal for the Jarrow product. Read more
