**UPDATE** My mom decided she wanted to do a smoothie cleanse and came over to "borrow" my HealthMaster. She essentially has kidnapped it because she has had it for ohhh at least 7 months or so and won't return it. It still works great according to her and it looks good when I go to her house and see it on her counter. She tried to make a smoothie with her blender and it just wasn't powerful enough so I guess she just decided to keep mine forever. It's funny but not really since I wanted to make a smoothie the other day and realized I didn't have anything to make it in. Mom, if you are reading this I put this on my Christmas list! Oh and for anyone looking for the temper (the stick like thing that you put in at the top to move your items around while it is blending...check the underside of the foam packaging as there is a slot it is inserted in. I was kind of upset when I thought they didn't include it and after about a month or so I was going to toss out the packaging and flipped over one of the Styrofoam and low and behold it was right there. So...I decided I needed to get more veggies and fruits in my diet but I can't stand pulp or chunks in my smoothie. I want smooth as silk smoothies! So I finally decided to try this one as it fit my budget and purpose. Was I skeptical? YES. BUT I have to say this is the best blender I have owned hands down. This blender is super powerful and I love the fact that you can program the speed and time and walk away and let it be the workhorse that it is. I added spinach, and about 4 cups of frozen fruit (different types). This blender made short order of everything I threw at it. I blended the spinach and 2 cups water first until well blended. Then threw in all that frozen fruit. At the end I was left with a completely blended smoothy with no lumps or chunks of unblended fruit or spinach. I would completely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great blender. This is a great buy and a fraction of the costs of some of the other brands (which I wanted but just not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on a blender). Read more

This blender is awesome. I went through 3 other blenders before settling on this one and I’m so glad I did. It is tough enough to make amazing smoothies and I absolutely love that it has a timer for when I make my bullet proof coffee. Great price. Great product. Highly recommend. Read more

I've been using the healthmaster blender for at least 10 years, I was sold when Montell Williams would do his infomercials. My first I purchsed in color red and used it at least 5xs a week. Im plant based and use it for daily smoothies, butters, bread bases, nut mayo, plant based dressings etc. It got heavy usage and was still going strong after all of those years. The pitcher broke on that one about 2 years ago after it fell, but the blender base was still operable. Sought out to get a replacement and ran across the low low price here on Amazon, I was shocked at how much in price decrease it went seeing that my original one was about $250 or so. I happily purchase it. Same thing just happened to the new blender's pitcher, it fell and broke but the blender base is still great. Came on here to look for replacement pitcher but they don't sell it, so I have to purchase an entire new blender again although I don't need it. I wish they just sell the pitcher replacement alone. I have had this blender for years now and thought that my old one was bad. Only to find out that it's the pitcher that is seizing up and the motor is still running fine. It fine chops everything into liquid form! Read more

I bought this to make soup and protein shakes. It does a good job. It is quite loud, as some have said, but that doesn't bother me too much. The main problem I've found is that when I'm making shakes, if I put ice in or something that takes a little while to totally liquefy, the contents start getting warm/hot before it's fully liquefied. Which, while not a problem when I'm making soup, is obviously a problem when I'm trying to make a cold shake/smoothie. Also, when I am making soup, I have to be careful because it does get so hot. Many of the soup recipes I've tried involve some form of cooking the food before putting it in the blender, but you don't want to put hot food in the blender because if you do that, that heat plus the added heat of blending makes it dangerous (the top can explode off and burn you if you're not very careful), which means I have to cook the food, put it in the fridge for like an hour to cool it down, then put it in the blender. My hope when buying this was that I could just toss stuff in, blend it, and the blender would heat it, and I'd have soup in like 10 minutes. It turns out that's not how this works. For one thing, there isn't a heater in the blender that you can turn off and on; it's the blending action itself that, when left on for several minutes, gets hotter and hotter, thus the problem with cold drinks. Also, with some foods you need to cook them prior to blending them (I found out the hard way that you can't just toss garlic cloves in and expect the heat to cook them; you have to saute them or something first or they're far too potent and the soup is inedible). So, bottom line, I'd say this blender does a good job at what it says it can do (from what I've tried anyway), but it doesn't work quite in the way I was hoping to meet my particular needs--but that's probably more a matter of blenders in general not working the way I want them to for what I want them to do.
