My dog LOVES this toy. We feed him all his kibble in this treat-dispensing ball, and it prolongs meal times since he can only get a couple kibbles out at a time. Every morning & evening he goes bananas when the toy is taken out and he gets to "hunt" for his food by chasing the ball around. This is good both for his stomach (he can't eat his kibble quickly when fed this way, compared to feeding him the same amount from a bowl) AND it engages his brain/predator drive (he has to "hunt" by knocking the ball around and getting his food only when pieces fall out). 5 of 5 stars! The ball is also very durable, and you can throw it in the dishwasher (top rack) for cleaning which is an added bonus. Read more
This is a good treat ball, which can hold about a cup of food or treats. If intended for food it may have too wide a mouth opening - my dog's food came through far too easily and made me look elsewhere. My dog definitely enjoyed it but it really needs to be filled with treats to be a challenge. However it has survived a mastiff puppy - so it is a pretty solid toy. We have a 70 pound pit bull and he gets this Monster Ball filled with two crunchy bones and two chewy treats each night. He rolls it around for a while, prances around with it in his mouth, then settles down to work out his treats. If you are a dog owner, then you know that they have rituals that they need to follow - he MUST have his treat ball each night. We have had the original Monster Ball for over three years now. The mouth has cracked a little on the side, but it is still in great condition (and our dog is a power chewer!) We had to buy this second Monster Ball to have as a back-up in case we can't find the original. This is the best toy that we have ever bought our dog. Read more
Ball has a STRONG vanilla scent!! I didn’t notice this detail in the ad. The smell stays on my handI have a Maltese and the smaller ball is challenging for her to carry. Her treats are too small and fall out all over the floor in quick succession, The ball get slobbery and my floor gets wet.The ball has an erratic bounce like advertised. Makes it difficult to keep track of the ball. If she’s sitting stationary, she can lick and chew at the ball. I’m sure it would work with a bigger dog. Returned. Read more
This ball is my dog's absolute favorite ball! She plays with no other ball, and I don't even have to use it for the treat element. My dog just likes to chew on the ball for jaw exercise, and chase the ball for fetch, and search for the ball for the find it game, etc. This ball lasted 2 years with such constant use, so they're incredibly durable. I would highly recommend them. (But the smaller version...the larger version is the size of a large softball and heavy. My dog doesn't like that one half as much as she likes the smaller version.) My dog will chew through most toys in no time flat. This toy has been around for a while now. It is great to just play fetch with, or putting treats in. She can sit and chew on it, and it not yet shows any wear! I would recommend this to anyone with a heavy chewer. Read more
Delivered, washed, put a couple milk bones in it and within one hour nose area of ball was missing. Opening up the face. He has the Kong balls and has never chewed through. So waste of $8.00 Read more
