They're compression socks so I expected them to be somewhat tight, however they are not very stretchy either. I would say my calves are not small but also not big.. they'd probably be uncomfortably tight if my calves were any bigger. Fun Socks- Were good for the price ( Were purchased for 5 dollars ) The design is just printed on them so if stretched too much would just be white. I would say they are designed for some who is slimer / smaller calves. These have worked well for my daughter has worn them for a few different 5k/10k races along with some fun theme end of the season softball games.
