Long lasting! Great quality!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I’ve been using the K&N HP-7018 oil filter on my Toyota Sequoia, and I’m really happy with it so far. The biggest benefit for me is the long 20,000 mile service interval. If it truly lasts that long, I won’t have to deal with taking off the skidplate nearly as often, which is a huge annoyance on this truck. Installation was simple, the fit is perfect, and it seems well-built compared to some other filters I’ve used. If you’re looking to cut down on hassle during oil changes, I definitely recommend giving this filter a try. Read more

Great filter horrible drain plug
The filter itself is great quality, and that’s why I use K&N. BUT … obviously the engineer who came up with the tool to drain the filter housing has never done an oil change before. The K&N drain tool is inserted in the housing making removal extremely difficult which usually ends up with broken plastic stuck in the housing. For that reason I keep a cheap Fram drain plug handy that screws in and out easily. Read more

Good quality filter
These filters used to be a little more expensive than other options. It seems like the prices of the other options have come up and are similarly priced compared to K&N. Given K&N's history and reputation for quality filters, I don't mind paying a few dollars more for them. I run K&N oil, air, and cabin filters in all of my vehicles. Read more
