The filter itself is great quality, and that’s why I use K&N. BUT … obviously the engineer who came up with the tool to drain the filter housing has never done an oil change before. The K&N drain tool is inserted in the housing making removal extremely difficult which usually ends up with broken plastic stuck in the housing. For that reason I keep a cheap Fram drain plug handy that screws in and out easily. Read more
