Kanu Surf

I love this bating suit and wore it for the first time yesterday - body surfing for hours - and love the color, fit, and quick-drying property. Note that I bought the "Large" and have a waist that is 36-38" (my Levi jeans have a 36" waist). The suit delivers a flattering, comfortable fit - for the body of an aging ruby player. Great quality, great price and value - though will need to see how it holds up over repeated use. Though the care instructions could not be found on the agreement - something the sellers should address - I'm using the care instructions that Kanu provides for their short. Though they say say that after machine washing (they recommend gentle cycle), it can be put in a dryer over a low temperature, I will hang dry it after washing, believing it will preserve the fabric and color longer. I have no false images of my 57 year old saggy body. So I don't buy form fitting trunks.. . I want something comfortable to float and relax in the water. These trunks fill the bill nicely. The blue checked design wasn't exactly what I expected, but they still look good enough for the back yard or the beach. I will comment briefly on the fit. I expected a small cut, so instead of XXL, which is my norm, I went 3X .. And I'm glad I did as the trunks fit like a dream. I can tell that my normal would not. So when you buy, especially if you are an XL or above, add an X to your plans. But great trunks. Would definitely purchase again. Read more

The first thing I want to say is make sure you go one size up I could have probably went two sizes up but I did not do that because of the price jump between sizes. Can only comment on sizing, which should be useful for some people. I have a 42-inch waist, so based on comments from a couple of other users, I decided to order the 2X (not 2XL). The waist is probably the ideal size. Two things that make me less happy: the inner liner, as usual in larger swim shorts, has not been made large enough to suit the obviously larger body of a man who is ordering this kind of huge swimwear. It is almost comical to contemplate the lack of sense that clothing manufacturers demonstrate these days. They put a small liner in a huge pair of trunks, so that the liner functions as a do-it-yourself home castrate kit, or enema kit. Also, related to sizing, if you are ordering these larger sizes, the trunks are going to come down to your knees at least, rather than to a reasonable level like you see in the photos. I haven't went on vacation yet, so I don't know how they will perform in the water. Read more
