I love, love, love this mirror. It is a great size and well made. The lip makes it look more expensive and special. It really makes an impact in the living room. We needed a mirror in the hallway to check hat, hair, clothes before going out the door. Needed something simple that solved the problem but was also beautiful. Bottom line: I'm happy. I read reviews before ordering and knew I might get a broken one, so I wasn't surprised or irate when it happened. I guess if the company wants to stop wasting money and materials, they'll start packaging their product more effectively. The awesome thing is that the replacement was sent absolutely trouble-free, without requiring a return! Though I was doubtful the replacement would arrive safely after seeing the packaging for the first one, I took my chances anyway. I want what I want and I didn't find any other options in this color (or really almost any actual color) and in this price range. Lucky for me, the second one somehow made it to me unscathed. It's a beautiful, true navy blue (dark and saturated) with a glossy finish, and the mirror is set back in the frame, as the pictures show. I haven't inspected every centimeter of the frame for scratches or seams, but there are no obvious defects. If perfection is your expectation, you should probably buy things in person and expect to spend more money. Nobody is going to examine the mirror in my home for minor imperfections, so I won't either. I have the mirror sitting on my dresser and leaning against the wall behind it. This would be risky otherwise, but I used a couple pieces of nano tape (LOVE this stuff!) at the top and bottom, hidden completely behind and under, to keep it from sliding or rolling. I love the idea that it looks precarious to the unknowing, yet I have nothing to worry about! Mine came with hanging hardware and wire attached, so there's always that option too. So if you really want a mirror like this in a real color (not metals or black) and you're willing to "kiss a frog or two to find your prince," go for it.
