I've had this towel warmer for 4 years now and it has worked great. Early on, the lid became separated, and I had to super glue it together, but then I didn't have any problems. (No, the glue did not melt when the towel warmer is on). The warmer shuts off after about 1 hr for safety and heats up quickly after that. Fast forward 4 years (ordered it in October 2021) and it is now turning on by itself (or staying on rather than auto shut off) and over-heating! I came into my bathroom the other night and it smelled like something was burning, and I see the towel warmer was on!? (We shower in the mornings. So, either it didn't auto-shut off and was on all day, or it turned on by itself) So, we have been unplugging it more regularly. However, when I do use it, it does not seem to be auto turning off and it gets too hot. It is the first time I've experienced this with this product and I'm thinking it's time to get a new one. I'm sad though, because this seems like a waste to throw in the landfill. However, it's no longer safe if we forget to unplug it and if the towels feel like they might burn you. Edit 3/17/2023** The customer service team finally responded to my requests on 1/19/2023 and I was sent a replacement unit! Unfortunately the box was in pretty bad shape when it arrived so it was no surprise the unit did not work. I had a baby at the end of DEC and dealing with their CS was not worth my little but of time. On 3/14/2023 I was contacted by a sales manager who was very attentive to achieving my satisfaction and followed up with me and has a new one on the way! I have not received the warmer yet but if it works and can withstand daily use for a while, I’d say it was money well spent. The warmer was a favorite in my home and being without it has made me realize how much I enjoyed it. I purchased this product 1/27/2022 and it stopped working 12/23/2022. This towel warmer was great when it worked, although at times was a bit inconsistent. There would be times that I would place a towel in there for about 20 minutes while showering and it would come out nice and toasty, and other times it came out feeling a bit damp and barely warm at all. It wasn't something that would happen frequently enough to really be a problem for me, nor would it affect my overall rating. The fact that it stopped working only slightly contributes to the 2 stars i'm giving this product, because I know that with daily use some products just do not last and I would say this was used at least twice a day in my home, so I feel I got great use of the product. The main issue that lead me to give only two stars is that I reached out to Keenray's customer service on 12/23 via email to submit a claim on my one year warranty (which will be coming up very shortly) and I have yet to get a response. I have now emailed twice as well as sent a message via their direct website and have had no response. I was trying to be patient due to the holidays, but I am concerned that I will not be able to submit a formal claim and receive a replacement before the one year mark as this company is unresponsive. I do hope that I can get in touch with someone and get the matter resolved, as this would drastically change my views/rating of the product. Prior to the warmer dying on me, I had already decided that when it finally died I would gladly purchase another because this has become a staple in my home, but due to Keenray being unresponsive and/or not honoring their one year warranty I would certainly take my business elsewhere.
